The Out of Town Scoreboard

Let's use this thread to keep track of our chief competition, down the stretch. We'll try to keep this updated daily with not only scores, but discussion...and hopefully we'll maintain a group effort here.

Notable last night...the Kings don't do us any favors. They lead the Canucks 1-0 until about 2:45 of the 3rd, where Kesler scored to tie it. He scored again in OT to give Vancouver yet another win.

Meanwhile, the Flames blew out the Blues, who are all but completely out of it now.

Who do you guys see as being more prone to a fall-off? The Canucks or Avs?

Avs. I think all that older talent is just outstanding but so fragile that they won't last. Forsberg is out already.

Well I guess we pretty much have to hope the Northwest teams beat each other and DON'T have 3 point games.

Of course that is contigent on we win games lol... And we have to play Detroit a bunch

Looking at the schedule I would say Vancouver's looks the toughest.

Well Vancouver lost in regulation so that's good.

And Chicago lost in regulation to keep them behind us.

*Vancouver @ Phoenix Thursday night so we definitely have a must win vs LA.

This thread could quickly become irrelevant if we don't start TCB

Pronger (stomps on kesler's leg twice) pulls a Simon (steps on ruutu's skate) and gets NOTHING

Things are looking bleak right now.....

3 more games against the Dead things....we really need to win almost all of our remaining games. I could see us losing 2, maybe 3 games, but if we lose more than that, I think we are out of the playoffs.

6 of 10 with points in 8 of their last 10......they are having the march that we need! It looks like both of our picks are going to be in the 11-16 range depending on whether or not we or the Panthers are able to make it in.

Thus far New Jersey helped us with a win over Colorado (Brodeur with some incredible saves in that game)!

Now we look towards Dallas and Edmonton to do their parts...unfortunately, Dallas is resting Turco in favor of allowing Holmqvist to make his debut!!!

Panthers won AGAIN Only 2 points out of a playoff spot lol

I'm a big Coyotes fan tonight. Awwooooooo lol

Oh and hopefully the Avalanche vs Wild game will not be a 3 pointer.

Colorado and Edmonton had a wild one yesterday, Edmonton came out on top to stay 1 point behind us...I'd rather the teams behind us win than those in front of us, so this is a good result.

No games of significance, today.

Realistically, if we lose 1 or 2 more games...and no more than that...we're likely in, unless all these head to head NW division games turn into 3 pointers.

Flames won against the Liepolds. I've had trouble deciding who to pull for recently but I think the Flames are my new go-to team. They need to beat the Avs and the Nucks early this week- I think we aren't likely to catch anyone but the Avs... but the Nucks are the next best hope.

The paper had interesting stats (in a Climer article????) from a statistics guru today that has the Preds at 99%+ chance of being in if they win out, 80%+ if the go 5-1 and still over 50% if they go 4-1-1.

tonight...go Flames! if they can knock off the Avs, we've got a chance to pull back into 8th, tomorrow.

Also...go Wild! though it's not looking good early, edmonton already up 3-1. we could wake up tomorrow in 10th.
