CSKA Moskva, all time team

Valeri Kharlamov - Vladimir Petrov - Boris Mikhailov
Vladimir Krutov - Igor Larionov - Sergei Makarov
Valeri Kamensky - Vyacheslav Bykov - Andrei Khomutov
Pavel Bure - Sergei Fedorov - Alexander Mogilny

Vyacheslav Fetisov - Alexei Kasatonov
Vladimir Malakhov - Sergei Zubov
Alexander Ragulin - Vladimir Konstantinov

Vladislav Tretiak
Nikolai Khabibulin

It's always funny to speculate. Would this team dominate the NHL today if all in their prime? How would your CSKA all time team look like?

The chemistry of my lines....

Do all of the NHL teams get to have their all-time best players all in the prime?

I'd assume not because OP stated just the "NHL today". That said, think its suffice to say CSKA would dominate. I you gave every team their prime players form, (I.E. blackhawks would have Selke Toews, Hart Kane, 100 point or elite 2 way hossa, Norris keith, ETC.) would it even be a competition?

What's the point in comparing an all-time team with a non-all-time team?

Why does that make it special?

...or an all-time NHL team like the Chicago Blackhawks... just not the current Blackhawks... or any other current team, be it from the NHL or Sweden.

Firsov has to be there.

Mogilny, Bure and Fedorov didn't play there long enough.

Guys like Firsov, Alexandrov and Vikulov have a bigger legacy for that club specifically. Then you have guys like Almetov, Polupanov, Loktev who were stars in their time.

Defensively, it's a little muddier, but guys like Lutchenko, Gusev, Ivanov and Kuzkin have a strong legacy.

In goal, that's tougher, as Tretiak was the only CSKA goalie with strong legacy. Mylnikov played there, but he isn't an all-timer imo, plus I don't think he played there long enough.

EDIT: Nikolai Sologubov on D. He played during the early days of 50s, but there is a lot written about him being a great player.

That's not a speculation. This is an alltime roster of a club that had great advantages in the system. Of course they would dominate.

I'll give it a shot:

Makarov-Larionov-Krutov
Mikhailov-Petrov-Kharlamov
Vikulov-Firsov-V. Alexandrov
Kamensky-Bykov-Khomutov

Fetisov-Kasatonov
Ragulin-Sologubov
Lutchenko-Ivanov
Konstantinov-Kuzkin

Tretiak
Puchkov
Belosheikin

Yeah, all time Spartak, Dynamo Moscow or Krylya vs NHL would be more interesting.
