Would he even make the Russian team on defense?

If improves, sure.

I can't say that there is a lot of great competition for Russian D spots, but he is still no lock.

According to this, Tryamkin has signed 3 year contract with Auto. No words about any out NHL clause.

I'm not sure there's an NHL/KHL player transfer agreement, so he may be able to come back to the NHL whenever he feels like it? I could be wrong though..

There is not a transfer agreement between NHL and KHL, only Memorandum of Understanding, see. According to KHL rules, a player with KHL contract can terminate the contract and pay a financial compensation of 2/3 of remainder of the contract to his KHL team. This compensation or buyout can be paid by NHL club as well, which NHL clubs dont do (instead they give singing bonus to a player)

The article says the Memorandum of Understanding expires on June 30, 2016.
Is it valid again now?

It was a first article google found, so I posted it. Both leagues have extended the Memorandum every year. So I think they will extend it this June too.

Contracts can have paragraphs about terminating them on some terms as well. Like, going back to the other league in a full year or two. I ain't saying Tryamkin's has such a clause.

Feel bad for the Canucks fans . These things happens when you are a bad team . Thank God Edmonton has final turned the corner . I were so use to players crap on us when they left or when we were trying to acquire them . Feel good to be able to get players to come to Edmonton now

Nope. They can't have such clauses.
