Sheary had a rough series and a lot of the easy goals given up while the Sid line was out there was because Sheary was like a turnover machine at times in his own end.

I think Sid has outperformed Geno in round one. Created more offense, better D. Geno and Phil were dynamic tho.

Coming back to the subject of this thread, while i think Sid and his line has not been at his best in this serie, this +/- stat is blown out of proportion and very misleading in many ways.
Well yes and no.

Sid sometimes gets the 1st line match-ups and thrives and Geno sometimes gets the 1st line match-ups and thrives.

The benefit is to the Penguins though, every team doesn't have 2 shut down units for those 2 lines, so you have to pick one, if you put your effort to stop Geno, you run the risk of Sid and his line destroying you and vice versa.

In this round, it was Geno's line that thrived against the extra attention, Malkin is a monster like that.
