Honestly, stop posting SV% numbers for Price. It's not about number of saves but KEY saves. Price has not made key saves. G4: Nash Goal would be a key save. G5: Skeji, Fast would have been key saves to keep team momentum. Price has not been Price and I don't care what the number say. Rangers take a lot of perimeter shots. Lundqvist has made those key saves to keep his team in games they didn't deserve to be in.
Pacioretty, Galchenyuk, Danault : Wake the **** up. Absolutely cannot stand players that don't show any effort in the playoffs.
I do not feel even remotely encouraged about this game and I unfortunately think it's over, but nevertheless I hope we at least don't get dominated. There was certainly a decent amount of time last night where we looked like the better team or at least a team with a shot, but then in the third and for almost all of OT we looked toothless. Constant dump and chase, no real zone entry at all. Every shot we had (if we even had any, I didn't look at stats out of disgust and it sure didn't feel like we had many) was pretty much from the boards. No high quality scoring chances that I can recall after Captain Casper blowing it on a breakaway.
No one should be stuck on the idea that the Rangers have been better. They haven't. At all. This has been as tight a series as possible, we just need to not take any periods off. I got confidence that we'll come through saturday
I have a hard time believing the Rangers will manage to beat us three games in a row, especially in these tight one goal games we've been seeing. One problem is that the guys looked a combination of nervous and exhausted throughout the 3rd and overtime which is pretty worrisome. Got to wonder how much is left in the tank.
