It doesn't matter if the Predators are the 1st or the 2nd team in history to do that. They are making history with every game that's the cool part. This team just swept the Blackhawks
the only team since 90s that can be called a modern day dynasty team!

This thread and the Who do you want in the playoffs? thread have some comedic gold.

I proudly wear my Subban shirsey at the local rink during the Erie Otters season, and just having the odd contingency of bandwagon hawks fans chirp me for supporting the preds just lose it when I mentioned anything about this series.
The Erie chapter of the Preds fan club is like 5 people deep and now we can laugh forever after this

Well when I'm home I always rock Preds gear! I hated being in Pens country but I miss Erie. My dad worked for the Otters in the Rupp, Boyes, Connolly days and it was a blast! I could only imagine how much fun it would have been the last few seasons!

on topic but off topic I was at game 7 vs London.
Besides winning the OHL championship that was the loudest that rink has ever been.
And the 2nd greatest game of all time in Erie Otters history

I watched it on my phone and I'm pretty sure my heart stopped when Foegele took that penalty in the last 2 minutes. I just KNEW London would score and Parsons wouldn't give up another and the Otters would have wasted their 3 best seasons with nothing to show for it.

Difference in the series was Forsberg, Arvidsson, Jarnkrok, Fiala, Watson, Ellis, Harry Z, maybe even Aberg.....becoming excellent to great players all at the same time. Add them to our core of excellent vets.

Chicago apparently has zero players in this transition. All they had was Kane Toewes Hossa Keith Seabrook. Panarin the only other guy I even knew on the roster.

And all those guys looked tired, and somewhat annoyed that they had to be out there. That was odd.

Plus no size and grit at all. Dick Panic looked to be their tough guy. You can't have that even in the Bettman NHL. Oilers became a legit team overnite just by adding Lucic, Maroon, Kassian.

At no point in any sport should it not be a big deal to punch a guy in the face after he is down and defenseless. Stuff like this is the reason the NHL is eventually going to get it's butt handed to it in a court somewhere.
It was no different than any gloved punch in any scrum that ever happened in the NHL, about 10,000 times.

It looked sh*tt*er because Smith was down and not even looking, but the result was not different or worse one iota.

Stick, or drop the glove and really ring the guy's bell, totally different.

And I hated the dickwad for doing it, and would have laughed if he got a gamer or suspension. It's just that the crime didn't actually warrant it. Your logic is bad.

Never been a fan of a bunch of yipyaps, chirping and ganging up on one guy, on a message board.
