Should we consider Tanking????

Should we lose to help our draft position??? We stand the Danger of becoming Atlanta or Columbus who now have a losers mentalitty from years of tanking, but we need young players (Wingers) to help rebuilt this team back up.

ridiculous. the best we could do is move up to around 8th or 9th, and thats not gonna matter.

Uh....NO! So what the team would have the 8th pick? Supposedly this a top 7 player draft and Nashville aint getting any of them. There is NO incentive to tank.

if we can play like we did against Detroit there is no need to tank.

Unfortunately, that might be a big if.

you tank only after you are officially eliminated. of course by then tanking doesn't do much good....don't stop....

it was a close call between both clips, but i went with the more non-traditional one(which is the nashville philisophy-hockey in the south). perhaps if we were the redwings(or devils) i would go with the whole, "wack you if you ain't gettin' the job done right and get someone else at a higher rate" mentality. besides the sopranos one has the voice over the music, which defeats the purpose of the song. don't stop believing because we can get this done....not careful or you will get eliminated.

It would be a disaster for the Predators to consider tanking.

The Predators are still in the playoff hunt. Its important on many levels for the team to make the playoffs. You never know when you'll be this close again. Players move, hurt, bad luck etc.

This is supposedly a very strong draft, although the first 7 picks are where its at. That doesn't mean that we cannot get a good player out of the draft, even if we make the playoffs. It appears that both of our first round picks will be towards the middleish of the first round. Let us not forget that Poile has the ability (note I didn't say guts ) to package some players in a deal to move up or acquire some assets in moving down.

Fight it out, I have been watching and pulling for you guys since the 04 playoffs. I was hoping you guys would take out Detroit, but maybe you can do it this year. A quick question too, how do you guys feel about Scott Walker since he was traded? Do any of you still follow him, or do you not miss him at all?

I don't have any hard feelings about Walker. He was a big player for us early in helping to build our franchise. He had some questionable comments during the lockout, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he was a good player for us in our early years and helped to build our franchise.

For the record I Did NOT vote to Tank at all I just was asking if we should consider it (mainly due to Florida's hot streak)Possibly picking 13th and 14th this year is going to stink. Poile always take the safe pick and WE Do not need anymore defensmen and those are the only safe picks outside of the top 10. Why draft guys just to trade them later and waste them?????? He has done a good job drafting Defensemen but a pathetic job addressing the team needs. Our best wing and center prospects are 3rd liners at best.
