Can't wait to see my good friend Perron playing in Montreal!

I'll be watching this one from La Cage aux Sacks.

Hey guys. I didn't follow the magic numbers this year... but how many more wins do we need to clinch a playoff spot? I think there are 9 games left, this should come pretty soon. As good as the team has been this year, I'm still nervous about us making the playoff - you never know...

I believe the magic number is at 9. So it's conceivable that we could clinch a playoff spot by the end of the weekend.

Unless the Habs implode tonight this should be an easy win. Halak is a good choice. These games against weaker opponents allows him adjust to the NHL pace in an easier fashion, should pay off later in the season. If I were Carbo, I'd play Price in Boston Thursday, Halak at home against the Bruins on Saturday, and then Price against Ottawa, Buffalo, and Toronto next week.

GO HABS GO

RDS confirms that Carbo will use the exact same line-up as Saturday. So Brisebois will play

no if we get 9pts... or buffalo loses 9pts.... then we clinch staying ahead of them....
They are in 9th, so the magic number is nine points..

If we win tonight, the magic number will be 7 points.

buffalo has 79 pts, if they win all their games they can reach 97 pts. we curently have 89 pts so we need 9 pts to be sure to finish before them. however, with every point they lose the magic number goes down (if we win tonight and they lose the magic number is now 5)

This is valuable to know...play Kovalev against Perron's line, he'll have to much respect for him that Kovy could just skate around him.

I just had an image of him bowing at Kovy's feet.

That being said, if your buddy made it to the NHL, I would imagine he's a competitor and when push comes to shove, he'll walk over Kovy if he has to. Which he won't. Cause Kovalev's a monster
