Well with the Habs out and me not giving a hoot about the Leafs, I just wanted to toss my two cents in on Iginla. Plain and simple: this guy is a passionate, highly-skilled warrior. I get as much joy out of watching this guy play as I do Forsberg (in my view, the best player in the league). The Canucks and Wings have been all over him and he just continues to step up game after game. All the more remarkable is that the Flames have virtually no other real offensive threat, you and everyone else in the rink knows the Flames are riding Iginla and the other team still can stop him. Wicked shot, great skater, soft touch passes (like that one to Conroy), he'll bang the hell out of you, drop the gloves (against hatcher no less), and other than a Stanley Cup, he's been a winner on every level he's played at (2 memorial cups, world juniors, world championship, olympics). Love the guy.
He's the heart and soul of Team Canada for the next 6-8 years.
Just to add, I was in Calgary yesterday and the city reminds me of Italy during the World Cup of soccer. Amazing, seems like everyone has a flag on their car and the horns are honking. Simply great to see the spirit. It absolutely reinforces the positives an NHL team brings to their city.
