This could get more amusing as the days go on, because knowing Clarkson I fully expect him to force Avery to drop the gloves the next 2 times they play this year.
FWIW, no one will ever force Avery to drop the gloves. If he doesn't want to fight, he'll let Clarkson drop his gloves and take a few punches, and likely earn the Rangers a PP. It's what he does. No one goads Avery into anything... He knows what he's doing. Some might call it reprehensible and a blemish on the game, but it serves his team well. If he does indeed go at it with Clarkson again, it'll be because he wants to, not because Clarkson "forced" him.

You clearly havent seen much of him and/or arent factoring in the fact that he's a 23 year old rookie that logs 4th line minutes on one of the lowest scoring teams in the NHL. Not to mention the fact that Clarkson doesnt play with the best forwards on the team (Parise, Elias, Gionta etc...) whereas Avery often does. At any rate, comparing Clarkson to Cam is in a word......stupid.

Clarkson is a good player. Let's not twist ties here just because he's a Devil.

Very similar player to Avery. Very similar.

Reprehensible? Yes. A blemish on the game? No.

A blemish on the game would be my opinion of Steve Downie "fighting" while wearing a visor. It's absolutely unbelievable.

Haha, agreed on Downie.

And agreed that Clarkson is extremely similar to Avery, and that writing him off as a goon is seriously underrating him.
