The Roenick trade was interesting, the first real trade to come about due to the cap.
A third round pick to LA so they would absorb the grossly extravagant salary of a player who had little to offer the Flyers other than strife and was clearly on the decline. Despite the loss of a third, I think this was good trade for both teams.

hextall was a scout for the flyers before becoming assistant GM in LA.

How was it a good trade for L.A.? And us sending the Flyers Modry does not make up for it. Remember, they also traded us Cechmaniac.

Roenick and Cechmaniac for Modry is not equal.

These trades are five years apart! What the heck are you talking about? Are you suggesting three separate trades are all related?

There are alot worse deals around the league than those three.See Boyle, B.Richards,Marleau,Khabby,Havlat,Chara,Mccabe,etc. Shall I go on. NMC just means Danny decides where he goes when he is sick of being a third line center in a couple years behind Cannon and Carter.
