Any thoughts on ON's creatine?
ON's creatine looks solid, theres not much discrepancy between creatines, pretty much the same stuff.

Go-To supps for me:

1. Creatine pills (brand doesn't really matter, switched between AllMax and 6 Star pills, nice and cheap) - before workout

2. Transparent Labs Preworkout Bulk or Lean (depending if i'm bulking or cutting) - 30 mins before workout

3. EFX Karbolyn carb powder (1/2 scoop while cutting, 1 scoop when bulking - during workout (carb powder = MUCH better option than BCAAs)

4. Animal Whey/ON Gold whey - 1 scoop immediately after workout

5. L-Carnitine supplement (brand doesn't matter, usually take EVL) - within 30 mins of waking up and/or before gym.

I'll also occasionally take fish oil pills (haven't recently, been cutting so salmon/fish is already in my diet) and fat burners when cutting (currently taking Kaged Clean Burn)

There was a wide standing belief that post workout, your body absorbs a higher percentage of nutrients like creatine, but there's been science coming out recently that is showing it doesn't really matter for timing.

Throw creatine in your protein shake and take it whenever. As long as you get 5g a day.

Two really good workouts in a row with PES High Volume. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Grabbed 20 pounds of protein and two bottles of purple K creatine for 235$. The creatine had bonus pills too, so 130 per bottle.

Love the buy one get one half price deals Popeyes puts on all the time

Can you show me the research on this? Everything I have studied for early recovery has told me 30 minutes is the golden window for whey protein and creatine.

Added creatine to my stack after just rolling with whey protein and glutamine.

I see myself looking a bit more "full" in my muscles but I also see some bloating, so I think I may take it once every two days rather than everyday with my shake. I'm not too sure how to balance this one out.

Dude it's creatine. I highly doubt youre looking that full or bloating. 5g a day of creatine is fine.

Depends what type of creatine. Mono is known to cause bloating and is one of the reasons why I switched to HCl.

Yep, it's mono.

I mean, it's not a huge difference but I do notice some bloating. It reminded me why I stopped taking it a while back lol.

If creatine mono causes bloating it is because you are not drinking enough water or just need to give your body a little more time to adjust to the slight amount of water it pulls in to the muscles. Creatine monohydate is the only type of creatine proven to work, your body may not even be absorbing these other designer creatines hence the reason you bloat on monohydrate vs other forms. If a different type of creatine actually works it will have absolutely identical effects to monohydrate.

It was probably just giving my body time to adjust. It's much better now.

That is not the reason mono causing a bloating side effect, and it is not the only type of creatine proven to work.

Top two brand of protein bar for sure. Any of the cake ones are delicious.

White Chocolate Raspberry Quest bars are my top choice, but those are a close second.

I didn't know what to expect with the Lemon Cake flavour but it was so good to have in my post-workout last night.

I bought those CLIF Protein Bars a bit ago, too and just realized how much sugar is in them and it just completely turned me off of them.

Yeah I used to love love love builder bars. Then I looked at the nutritional breakdown on the back and oof. I now stick to chocolate isopure with cashew milk and all natty almond butter if I'm craving the flavor of chocolate.

I used to have those builder bars but never really paid attention to the nutrition on them. Saw the price of their big boxes of protein bars at Costco and I bought them before checking the label and it's safe to say I kind of regret those purchases now.

Would you like to show me studies done on any other type of creatine besides monohydrate? And please explain why it causes bloating then. I'm game for debate on anything creatine as I'm pretty well versed.

Are you serious? There are literally hundreds of studies on the various types of creatine. You can't be that well versed otherwise you would know that. Fill your boots on sifting through them and you will find what you are looking for. Start with Jim Stoppani's research and work from there.
