About Ryan Johansen, this hurts the Preds's chances of winning the cup, but it's not the end of the world for this particular series. It's not a best of 7 anymore, it's a best of 3. I can see them win their game at home and steal one on the road. And if they don't, well, they still had a nice run, nothing to be ashamed of.

And it wasn't Johansen's fault, but the 1st PP unit has been pretty bad in the playoffs so far... Now that he's gone, maybe Laviolette will use his 2nd PP unit more (Subban, Forsberg, Ellis especially), they've been effective.

Probably for the 3 missed calls in the first that were blatenet and that BS Kessel pulled with the wrong hand. Even moron Cherry pointed it out.

Why do people keep talking about PK when we should be talking about TP.

They pretty much are the Habs with a way worse goalie and a better number four D without RyJo. That C depth is horrible with him.

To me, this pens win is more proof that having the more rested goalie is the best option. No point in even having the best goalie in the league. And it's what Therrien tried to do with Price but Price threw a hissy fit at Montoya being thrown to the wolves.

Yeah you summed it up pretty well. But short term, they could be fine. Jarnkrok is kinda like their version of Danault, maybe he can be succesful with Arvidsson and/or Forsberg. There's also Neal that could benefit from playing with Forsberg, if they decide to go with Forsberg at C.

But if Fisher is out too and Smith is still missing, they'll have to dress players like Parenteau and Fiddler, which is not ideal...

watched it again. Cherry was wrong. Slash hit the right hand. Not hard. Kessel did ham it up imo. Almost but not as bad as Subban did, where the highlight showed the so called slash top PKs arm actually only hit his stick. PK waved his arm around like it was about to fall off. lol

Has become part of the game. Turns out Some NHLers must watch a lot of soccer. lol

With first line like that?

The centermen the habs have?

Snow balls chance in hell for a cup.

All of them would be worse players under the current Habs set up.

The Habs are one of the most, if not THE most conservative, regressive clubs in the league. Clubs like the Preds and Ducks are forward thinking and it shows.
Josh Georges, Ron Hainsey, Eler, DD, Bourque and Vanek have been "this far" before.

They better than Weber too ?

OV has never been this far. Karllson never been this far till now. Neither has Anderson. Or MacDavid. Or Guegreau. Or Giordano. Or Barkov. Or Marcel Dionne. Or Rinne till now.

Subban has won two consecutive rounds before so now its a bench mark for legends is it?.

Man, Johansen is a huge loss for Preds. He's been all over the Ducks. Very impressive playoffs by him. Big, big loss. I'm sure the Preds will battle but they have not been getting scoring behind their top 4 D & 1st line.

At the beginning of the year when Chuck was playing 1C I na´vely thought our biggest need was a #2 C.

Byron was playing well on the first line, max and Gally would have been great 2nd line wingers.... sue me for being optimistic at the beginning of the year.

Yeah definately, but I meant the Preds 1st PP unit has a hard time creating scoring chances. The 2nd unit has been much more effective. RyJo was on the 1st unit, so now they'll have to switch things up, which could be benefitial. It doesn't make much sense to not use players like Forsberg, Subban and Ellis more often on the power play unit when the first unit can't get shots on net.

If preds win the cup I can already hear Bergevin saying that centers aren't important.
