Why is everyone so afraid? It's not going to damage him.

Dubinsky was called up around the same time last year and played fine. Last year was Dubinsky's first year in the AHL as well. Same age.

If anything, it would only be following the same development path that Dubinsky took.

Dubinsky is centering the top line now a year later.

it is more important to get prucha back in the line-up before the playoffs then calling up a kid to get a snif knowing he won't be around for the playoffs.

There is no reason why both can't happen.

For the next couple of games at least until Gomez returns.

Plus it adds depth for those games that we need it.

Straka - Dubinsky - Jagr
Dawes - Avery - Shanahan
Prucha - Drury - Callahan
Orr - Anisimov - Sjostrom

Nothing wrong with Anisimov working on his defensive game at the NHL level for a couple of games.

Everyone sees now the importance of signing both Gomez and Drury last summer.

Nothing is wrong other then losing. NHL is not a good practice. The best way to improve has always been to play against equal opponent or slightly below. That is why the NHL players sent to AHL to get better, not the other way.

Why? Although Dubi had a great season, Nylander would be better as 1st line C. The somewhat desperate situation we've got is not due to Gomez being injured, but rather Betts being out. We did not need Gomez. We could have had Nylander, Dubinski, Drury and Betts as our Cs.

Gomez is a better then Nylander.

Plain and simple.

Nylander is old. Wanted too much.

Gomez is young.

There is no debate here.

Anisimov is a year younger than Dubinsky was last season. It's easy to forget that he's the youngest player in the AHL...

That is true.

He is 19 years old.

Dubinsky was 20 when he got called up.
