If they'd score in the 5on3, they would've tied it later on. That PK kill was huge. kudos to Price.
as soon as we killed that 5 on 3 i knew the game was over.

I was talking about the same thing with my dad. Price, Halak, Komisarek,Higgins,A. Kost, S.Kost, Plekanec, Georges, Latendresse, Lappierre, Chipchura and O'byrne all have potential to have much better seasons.

But we're already 1st in the east?

Something's very wrong, and i talked about all of those players, well there's still a ton more coming in a couple of years, it's almost not fair how great the future looks for the Habs

The officiating was no surprise to me. One play is a penalty and the same play versus montreal isn't?? Sergei gets interfered with...no call. Bouillion gets called on the same type of play. Typical of the new WWF...I mean NHL

Before the start of the 3rd period Murray was talking to one of the Refs and they were laughing and talking up a storm. Then in the 3rd almost every whistle there was a penalty called on the HABS but there where a few that should have been called against the Sens, but weren't. Just wondering if Murray had some influence on some of the bogus calls against the Habs.

What happened is a GOOD thing. It's a wake up call in a win. Going an almost week long break with 7-1, 10-1, etc win would have been nice, but the sens little come back just put the habs collective feet straight back on the ground and we still get 2 pts. As much as I'd have liked to see the sens morale crushed, they're a good team that can beat anyone still and they'll most likely pick it up until the end of the season.
Man do i agree with that post. Everything went the Sens way in that third and those 2 flukey goals that made the score 7-3 started it all. Then you add 4 PP in the 3rd which is almost have of the period on the PK. Habs won and they'll have that 3rd period in the back of their mind next time they play them.

About the whole game itself, i knew that if the Habs would play their game and not worry about the Sens too much , we could easily beat them. The Habs are loaded with skill and if they play their game they are hard to stop.

OMG! That's even better than the Bruins guys the other night when they didn't realize they were on the air

Those Sens guys were pissing me off. They were saying stuff about Lapierre, how "Oh, you know he's going to turtle, he never backs it up, he never fights, blah blah blah". Apparently they didn't watch the Bruins game on Saturday My mom had sat down to watch a few minutes of the game, and she suggested Lapierre should go up to the booth and fight Gord and Dean

Friggin nitpickers.

I could care less if the Sens feel better, or if the Habs feel worse after the third period.

Such feelings were then drowned in the excess of booze that probably awaited the players and coaches about town. Too bad it's not like baseball, where the team goes nuts in the dressing room the game after clinching.

I don't see why the Sens would feel better. They've always known they can score, but now they know for sure that they can't rely on their goaltending at all. That can't be a good feeling heading into the playoffs.
