My fiancee and I are getting married this summer and as huge CBJ fans we wanted to incorporate our love for the jackets into our wedding photos in some way. One of the ideas I had was a wedding party and cannon picture, but i'm not sure if this would be something that the CBJ brass would be down with and/or allow. Plus I don't have the slightest idea who I would contact to set something like this up.
If any of you guys or gals have any information on who I should talk to it would be much appreciate. Also if anybody has any other badass wedding photo ideas i'm always open to suggestions.
Being a summer wedding, they might store the cannon away. We were lucky
enough that we got married on a game day in October, so we ventured down
to the arena, spoke to security who at first wouldn't let us in because we didn't
have tickets, but I told them that were were PSL holders and our wedding was
scheduled before the NHL released their schedule so we gave our tickets away. After talking with the head of security, we were able to get in where we had pictures taken where the cannon is now located, so we had the ice as the back drop. The best was though after the pictures were taken, Fox Sports saw us and wanted to run a video of it, so we did the whole thing over again (security wasn't happy, but they got over it). I would call the CBJ front desk and see who handles arena entertainment and tell them your story. Worse they could say is no.
