Judging by the boxscores so far, it seems that JDD is stealing this series for Chi against a superior opponent. Is anyone close enough to the action to confirm this?

For the last two months JDD has been nothing short of amazing. If they can pull off this upset it will increase his value a lot. I'm hoping that they get to play Moncton so that I can watch all the games.

Cape Breton is gone. JDD stops 45 in a 5-2 win over a superior opponent. Where are the haters? It's time they jump on the wagon...

Wicked news on the Chicoutimi win over Cape Breton!

Also, Jason Platt and Zack Stortini played for the Roadrunners in their loss to St. john's today.

Guy,

We should add that Stortini had a fight and another minor (not surprising), but also had 5 shots on goal. Only Rita (with 8) had more for the Runners. Interesting first outing to say the least.

Red Deer won in double OT 2-1 to put Moose Jaw on the brink. Red Deer is up 3-2 in the series. Derek Meech scored at 5:46 of the second OT to put the game away. (Man, can Detroit pick them or what? )

Kyle Brodziak was -1 on the night with 2 pim. I believe his line (with Flash) were on the ice for the game-winner. Do or die for the Warriors now.

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but Glenn Fisher's U of Denver won the NCAA Nat'l Championship 1-0 against Maine. Great goaltending throughout the game although Fisher didn't play.

So still alive and playing hockey:

The Toronto Roadrunners, Marc-Antoine Pouliot, Jeff Deslauriers, Troy Bodie and... that it???

Let's hope at least someone gets to be a this year and not all of our guys get

(Just needed an excuse to try some new smilies)

Any idea if/when Brodziak will be going to the Roadrunners for the playoff drive?

(Apologies if this has already been covered...)

"It's unlikely that Brodziak will join the Roadrunners this year" - Scott Howson after I checked for you.

Yeah, thanks for the update.

A bit surprising to me, considering the Roadrunners aren't all that strong at the C position.

They do have to pay these guys though, and they've added I think 4 players since the prospects seasons started ending.

They may not be strong at C, but guys like Cullen and Bishai have had good 2nd halves to the season and were key at gettting the runners into the post-season.

This is an amazing success story for JDD. Gatineau was the easily the favourite in this series. Yeah, I know it's only one game, but he's playing awesome and another upset wouldn't surprise me.

As far as the Rimouski/Moncton game goes, Moncton just seemed to have superior goaltending and defense. I got to listen to the game on the radio, but it wasn't on TV.

JDD wins game 3 after dropping game 2 (and not looking great at least from the stats). Did anyone see the game?

Gatineau wins big tonight 7-2 to even the series at 2 games apiece. Moncton is up 3-1 in games after winning 3-1 today, Pouliot got the lone goal for Rimouski.

By the way, Troy Bodie is the leading goal scorer for Kelowna right now with 6... fourth in team scoring!

Gatineau wins even bigger tonight with a 9-0 massacre over Chicoutimi. JDD let in 7 goals on 29 shots. Gatineau now has a 3-2 lead.

Looks like whatever bargaining power JDD had in his contract talks with Lowe is quickly evaporating.

The fact that Chicoutimi has gotten this far is pretty amazing, they really don't have a very good team. I'm sure JDD wasn't at his best after him, it gets pretty thin.

Well, here's a post from a guy on Oilfans who was at the game:

http://www.oilfans.com/forum/index.p...89831c82f3cf78

He said that Chicoutimi was truly awful, and JDD stopped four (4!) shorthanded breakaways. He got pulled after the seventh goal, and the CHI coach is usually very quick to pull Jeff if he's playing poorly so I don't think you can lay the blame on him for this one. The poster did say that Jeff let in two soft goals though.

Yeah, Gatineau is a great team. JDD GAA should not be held against him after this series. The 'piques have been pretty pounding everyone they faced.

Yeah, Moncton has looked pretty out-classed from what I have seen in that series (which isn't much...).
