Picard got what he deserved for blatantly boarding Smithson. If Rome wants to grab Weber from behind and try to start something, I understand (the whole misguided, I'm going to stick up for my idiot teammate ordeal), but Picard earned his just reward.

Good game. Love the fact that they had 2 guys go after Toots only to wind up going down.

Go over to the CBJ board, they have one guy dogging Terence Tootoo, classy guy...

Oh, and then he justifies it by comparing Terence Tootoo to Hitler.

Indeed, they are good for them.

You guys used to have some really good posters, they seem to be posting less and less, not that the same thing isn't happening here too.

Personally, I think he should have gotten the instigator penalty on the first fight. He through a big, fell down, and got up looking for someone. I'm sure that Hejda said something to him, but even so, that doesn't justify Tootoo coming over and cross checking him to start a fight. At the very least he should have gotten an extra penalty for cross checking.

To me it looked like Hejda skated right over and asked him to go.

BTW, that 2nd goal by Hlavac was a thing of beauty. Right into the top corner. I find it funny though, after they put the replay up on the jumbotron the refs asked to have it put up again so they could watch it.

that might have been Hlavac's best game in the NHL since his first stint with the Rangers. 1 g, 1 a....barely missed a goal-line skirter for another goal and had one disallowed that I felt should have counted(since it counted on ice and I dont think the kick was obvious enough)

I don't think they counted on the ice after the conference. It looked like the ref made a no-call and then after the huddle near the penalty box, waived no goal and then reviewed. Live, I immediately thought he kicked it but I was at the far end. The jumbotron replay was useless.

Anyway, Tootoo threw down with two 6'+ 200lb+ guys tonight. I thought it was a good effort on his part to distract the BJ's and get the energy back up. One of the more intelligent efforts to stir the pot from him IMO- but I understand if the BJ's fans wouldn't agree.

I have to agree with Trotz, we can play much better than we have in the last two wins. And we will need to.

Still, they got the job done. If we can get Rads, Erat, Bonk line going...

From watching the game at home it was an obvious kick-in, IMO

Awesome game from Ellis. Seems the threat of Rinne was exactly what he needed to get that fire lit.

Bonk finally gets one. Not that he had an amazing game though. Should be a boost of confidence getting that monkey off his back.

We're still in this thing

At the game I didn't think it was kicked in, but then seeing the highlights on On the Fly it definitely looked kicked in. It was a great kick though, right to the top corner.

Arnott's goal was a perfect shot! My seats were at just the right angle and I could see it go right in, that was great.

Ellis with some huge saves. His glove save on Nash in the second was the #2 play of the night. They said on On the Fly that he lost 13lbs during the game and was hooked to the IV!

Good job by Tootoo.

Terrible second period, again. Why do we continue to play like crap in the second period of games?

Good crowd. Better than I thought it would be on a Tuesday.

Way to come through Preds, now just keep on winning... I'm still hoping to see Rinne but if Ellis keeps it up, maybe there's no need for it.

And about some CJB fans, sheesh... Maybe it's just heat of the moment thing, I don't know.

Craig is one of the equipment guys for the team.

I don't know why they were messing with him last nite, but he's slightly mentally handicapped. Real good guy. Funny, too.

Also of note, the players LOVE him.

Oh yeah Havlac kicked the crap out that puck hehe.. that was the right call.

I like how Ellis is playing... Honestly if we are going to make Rinne sit we might as well send him back to Millwaukee don't you think?

What a crap 2nd period. Totally outplayed. I guess it was good they broke the glass so we could take an early break lol

Bonk finally scored, its been since Feburary lol

We're in this thing.. I like that Ellis is keeping us in games but we have to step up our play, we can play better than this.

I think Hitch's comments on Tootoo playing dirty are funny, especially since they bumped Ellis after every whistle.

yeah, i rescind my earlier comment. i was in 314 at the opposite end, and they didn't show a very good replay at the game.

Thankfully Ellis came to play or that 2nd period could have gotten really ugly.

Hlavac with his best game as a Pred, Bochenski on the other hand didnt really factor.
