I'd love to get this guy on the Bruins, exactly the type of transitional dman we need in the 2nd pair. I'm hoping that he'll cost somewhere between Preissing's $2.75 and Brad Stuart's $3.5M. Is that accurate, or do people think he's going to cash in big?

I think the Sens will be interested, too. We're likely to lose Redden (UFA), Richardson (retirement), probably Commodore (another UFA) and possibly Meszaros (RFA).

Don't know how much money we'll have available to spend, though. I'm thinking we'll top out at around $2.5M, depending on what Murray does with his other FAs and goalies in the offseason.

I don't know who he will sign with but he'll probably get like a 4yr/$14M deal from some team.

I'd like to get him too but I'd say he'll get $4-4.5M which maybe too expensive depending on other moves(another forward & if salary is moved out)

Yeah, that's around where I think he ends up. I have some interest from a Flyers perspective but he's had some good and bad years and I feel like he's going to get way overpaid for what he has shown.

I could see that happening if they strike out with Campbell or maybe Redden.

Either way I just want Chicago to be a solid team again its been too long

I was hoping he'd play at a "meh" level the whole year, but his game has recently picked up a lot of steam and he's looking like that $4m/yr player that the Avs won't be able to afford... :::sigh:::

apparently, according to the denver post, Liles wants to stay in Colorado and with his recent play it really wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't leave colorado but Giguere would definitely need to make some moves to keep him. moving Clark and letting Finger and/or Sauer walk would be probably be necessary to keep Liles in an Avs uni. my guess is that he gets around 4 mil per season, give or take a half mil.

Him and Hannan have made a wonderful pairing. I just fear that the Avs might be trying their hardest to mold Cumiskey to be like Liles. Although Liles was far more productive in his first season in Denver than Cumiskey is (was).

I don't think it's fair to compare Liles and Cumiskey's rookie years. Liles was 22/23 versus a 19/20 year old Cumiskey. We all know Kyle is still a work in progress.

Shattenkirk is still at least one year away, if not two, the Avs wont rush him.

Considering the interest in Liles around the trade deadline, if he hits the open market, he'll get 4+ million per year from somebody. I'd say it's 50/50 whether he stays in Colorado.
