HF's Team Board Mock Draft

Hey everybody. There's always variations of these every year on this site. The idea is to try to reach a consensus for who each team might pick would the fans of that team be in control.

This does not take into account any previous polls before it. Only the results of this poll will affect the numbers going forward.

Here are the results of the one I set up last season: http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...661&highlight=

There's around a month & a half left until the draft, so there will be 48 hours for the first 20 picks, and 24 hours for every pick after that. Obviously, we're only looking for the fans of each team to vote on their pick. This also assumes no trades will be made between picks.

Oilers fans, you have the 22nd overall pick!

1. C - Nolan Patrick (81.65%)

2. C - Nico Hischier (90.91%)

3. LD - Miro Heiskanen (71.88%)

4. C - Gabriel Vilardi (41.30%)

5. C - Casey Mittlestadt (47.62%)

6. C/W - Cody Glass (40.00%)

7. W - Owen Tippett (31.37%)

8. RD - Cale Makar (85.84%)

9. RD - Timothy Liljegren (40.21%)

10. W - Eeli Tolvanen (28.51%)

11. C - Nicholas Suzuki (37.93%)*

12. C - Elias Pettersson (58.00%)

13. LD - Juuso Valimaki (63.46%)

14. C/W - Martin Necas (70.59%)

15. C - Michael Rasmussen (29.41%)

16. C/W - Lias Andersson (31.91%)

17. RD - Callan Foote (48.18%)

18. W - Kristian Vesalainen (25.00%)

19: W - Kailer Yamamoto (37.93%)

20. C - Ryan Poehling (39.62%)

21. LD - Erik Brannstrom (75.00%)

22. ??

23.

24.

*Took away a tie-breaking vote because they weren't a fan of the team.

Missing Filip Chytil in the poll. With the current options I'd go with Kostin or Thomas.

I chose Jokiharju.

If they could trade down though and pick up Luukkonen in addition to an Anderson-Dolan, Norris, etc. I really think Luukkonen is going to be a good starting goalie.

Between Kostin and Hague for me. Both have top line/pairing upside IMO. Went with Kostin as I think his upside is a little higher.

If Hague is on the board you got to take him. The Oilers need forwards, but we've seen that defenseman hold a ton of value and you can't have enough of them.

A 6'6 defenseman with a big clapper and an offensive slant? Yes please. Needs to refine defensive game, but at his size you can overcome a lot of deficiencies with your reach and range.

It surprises me that nobody is talking about the program in Mississauga. In the last two years we have heard about hockey sense issues from 4 top prospects. McLeod, Day, Tippett and Hague. I'm starting to believe this is a culture/coaching thing rather than a player thing. Get these kids out of that system and see what they can do.

Dont know much about the prospect but LD with defensive deficiencies.. dime a dozen.
Size is overrated.

There isn't a single other defenseman in this draft with this one's skill set.
