Sexton has a lot of experience at different positions, should be a good asset for JB. Don't know much about Greeley other than he was with the Rangers. He was a coach with BU when Eichel was there, though.

For weeks, Housley and Pittsburgh Penguins assistant Rick Tocchet appeared to be the two leading candidates for the Buffalo job. Then word spread Thursday Botterill never talked to Tocchet, a former NHL star he worked with three years in Pittsburgh.

“Rick is going to be a head coach in the very near future,” Botterill said. “But I just felt it wasn’t a situation where I needed to go through the interview process working with him for three-plus years.”

Tocchet just won his second consecutive Stanley Cup.

congrats Sabres fans.

I think Botterill is gonna be a really good GM for you. Kinda sad to lose him but guess I can't exactly complain about the job JR has done for the pens.

Getting him and getting rid of Disco Dan will really help you turn things around. Blysma should never see a coaching job again, except maybe one of his kids in-house hockey teams, though there might be another team dad that's better at the job...
