He had concussion problems. I believe you can buyout injured players if they agree to it, but not sure why he would agree to that in this situation, so perhaps he's been medically cleared.

That's not really accurate. Vegas has a window to sign pending UFAs and RFAs, who are left unprotected by their current team, and any players signed in that fashion count as Vegas's expansion draft pick for that team.

Those two moves, Montreal deciding not to qualify Nestorov and Anaheim buying out Despres, are definitely not part of any side deals with Vegas. Regarding Nestorov, Vegas would be equally free to sign him as either a UFA or RFA during their special window, but either way he would be Vegas's expansion pick from Montreal. Despres, on the other hand, will be completely unavailable to Vegas, or any other team, until July 1. He is no longer under contract, and Vegas cannot sign him during their window. Any team can talk to him, as he's no longer under contract, but he can't sign until the new league year.

Well, the rumors out of Buffalo have slowed down since Murray was replaced.

1. There's 6-7x the WNY population in the GTA.
2. Buffalo media insiders sit at the children's table for Sabres Thanksgiving.

Try "Screeched to a halt"

Only thing from a "Credible" media person is the Kane and Kings things. After that? Nothing.

The Laffs are linked to everyone because... site hits. Yes, even tsn falls into that trap.

I hope he spends the next few years on a beach drinking fruity things with little umbrellas.

The model has kind of worked itself out. Stay in Russia and let them develop, then come into the league like un-drafted NCAA players.

Grigorenko just can't be what COL needs him to be. The sabres were lucky to use him to get something. But there was another Russian in that deal that I think may still turn out to be a pretty good NHLer.

No. Who cares that Grigorenko is going to Russia? He's not good. It's not as if he lived up to expectations then bolted. The downside to his draft selection isn't that he's Russian and left, it's that he was a miss.
