Backhanded Hitchcock Bash
OK, this is relative and rather concerning. In the Dispatch today an article about Feds rejuvenation with the Capitals. Asked why he was grateful for the change (trade), Fedorov states;
"Just getting the chance to play hockey the way it's supposed to be played, which is using hockey sense, not robotic. In Columbus you had to do things that didn't require much skill. It's much, much different here. That's why it's exciting and fresh."
Now when Feds was here he was always the consumate professional, supportive and optimistic. Is he bashing the Hitch system because, perhaps, this system is outdated? Or is this system the only type Hitch can use with our low talent level and still give us a chance of success. I guess my real concern is can real talent shine thru in the Hitch system, or will it be handcuffed. A different heroe every night seems to be polar opposite of your best players being your best players.
