I think Kostitsyn has the best chance. I do think that Higgins has the potential to be a point per game player as well. I wouldn't write him off just yet.
He'll be a 40 goal scorer someday.
LOL to all the people who said Christopher Higgins...

And 40 goals scorer ?!
Talk about overrating...
Shall I go and find your posts where you called Andre Kostitsyn a bust, or where you said Price wasn't ready for the NHL this year? What about those gems of wisdom about how pivotal Havlat was to the Senator's success?

I can dig up an article on hf before the 2004 draft took place where it said Latendresse might be a potential #2 after Crosby. He had a great 16 year old season in the Q.

They also said Gilbert Brule was the next great thing. Can you remind me what he's up to right now?
Latendresse will never score over 80 pts. Mark my words.

I think that if Plekanec consistently puts up 65-70 points a year, the Habs will be very glad that they have such a high quality C on their hands.
As to the jockstrap comment, can you explain, I don't get it ? I'm thinking this may be a joke but in that my lips didn't have that twitchy upturn thing happen that usually does when something witty has been said, I can't be sure.
Wow, buddy you sure have something against Plekanec. How can he be overrated when he isn't even very hyped? As far as I'm concerned, hes the best forward on this team. I don't think it is out of the question at all that he can reach the 80 point plateau. You act like that 10 points is the grand canyon or something, is there much of a difference from 70 to 80? You say he may get 70, but you can't admit that he could possibly get 80? Doesn't really make much sense to me. Plekanec has improved drastically before our eyes in the last two years. He has become the best center on our team, one of the most intelligent players for sure, he is a great playmaker, reads the play so well, is a great forechecker, is excellent in his own zone and on the penalty kill and can score. I wouldn't be suprised to see him achieve 80 points next season.

Average shot, above average vision and passing. Good skater. But I think Kovalev IS the reason why Plekanec is doing so well this season. I don't expect him to be better than Koivu. So an excellent 2nd line center or a good 1st line center.
