I was 6 years old in 1993 and I used to tape the games and then watch them in the morning. That's how I learned how to use a VCR!

I'd love to count 86, but I really don't remember it.

Technically I have been around for 3. I was born in April of 1976 so the beat the Flyers that year for my first cup when I was just over a month old. The in 86 when I was 10 so I remember it a bit. 1993 is the one I remember by far the most. I was lucky enough to go to all but 2 playoff games, and those were in the first round, and it was an amazing experience.

Unfortunatly, being 22 at the moment made me 8 when we last won the cup. Too young to REALLY care about a team. I voted "1", but like many people who did, its closer to 0

Like some elder statesmen on this august board, I'm at 18 cups. But I don't know if this is a contest that one wants to win. That being said, I have had the privilege of watching the best hockey players live and on television for almost 60 years, having gone to my first NHL game in 1957. I remember a time when Montreal fans thought it was a national tragedy if the team didn't win a Stanley Cup. Today, we consider just making the play-offs a successful year. How the mighty have fallen. If I told any Montreal fan in the 1950s, 60s or 70s that there would be a time when the Canadiens would win only 2 cups over a 27 year period, they would have laughed at me. Some joke.

That is all.

I was 12 in 86, The cup win is still in the brain but for some reason I remember the first two rounds much more vividly than the two finals.

Now, truth is, I've only ever seen the Canadiens win ONE Stanley Cup, they just won that same cup nine times!

That little syntactic thing drives me nuts. It's just as bad as the TSN guys referring to players in the plural.

Alive for 8, but I since I don't recall '71 and '73 (I was 1 and 3 at those times), I guess my answer is 6.

I remeber crying after that series as well!!! Along with the next year after the Oilers eliminated them.
