Kinda sickens me a little when all the former Kovy-basher from last year now act the he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. I have more respect for people with constant grudges than bi-polar bandwagon jumpers who have a 3-game long memory.

Same thing will probly happen with Carbo if we have a less-than-stellar start to next season. The same people who are starting the "Carbo for coach of the year" threads will start the "fire carbo" threads

Habs still have 3 season games to play but yet , Waffledave is looking for THE scapegoat to blame for our playoffs round defeat .

i don't see that happening. Most Koivu hate has zero to do with him on the ice.

I'm pretty sure you have already planified to scapegoat Koivu after a eventual playoff collapse. You basically hope it.

You are wrong . I don't give so much importance to a letter on a jersey . A leader is a leader with or without a C .

Koivu has been captain since 1999, he deserves more respect than what he's getting now. Does someone else wear Sakic's or Sundin's C when he's out to injury a week or two ?

Besides the first sentence, the rest of the post is a waste of brandwith tho
First of All..YES! When Sakic was out I remember Forsberg being the Captain back in the glorious Colorado days.
Second,Koivu is gonna be out at least 3weeks..
Third, We're going into the POs, having your best Veteran wear a ''C'' will help the youngsters.
Fourth, Giving Kovalev the ''C'' might make him elevate his game more, the whole team really rests on his shoulders now.
Fifth, Koivu will have the ''C'' the day he comes back.
Sixth, Kovalev has been our MVP for the year.
Seventh, Carbo knows better than you.

This changes nothing, and i can't believe some people are screaming disrescpect for Koivu...
This really proves that people in MTL will ALWAYS cry about some things...

Completely ridiculous...

You can reassure yourself Koivu didn't lose one second of sleep over this.

Once again , you are wrong ; You can't blame just one player for the defeat . Hockey is a team game .

+1.

Winning or losing is very rarely the fault of the captain, it may be his job to rally the team but it doesn't help if the players just aren't co-operating.

What the ****? The guy has had multiple career and life threatening injuries. Didn't he have eye surgery in the off season too? That's coupled with the fact that he is not in his prime.

Yet he's still having his 4th best point total, one point away from tying his 3rd. Yeah, with a slumping Ryder and constant line changes. So the **** what if he has 19 less points than last year? There's only so many goals to go around, and we're first in the league in that category. With the breaking out of Plekanec I'd be surprised if he wasn't receiving less ice time/PP time than last year or previous years aswell. Not to mention in comparison he's +16 better than last year.

No, he's not the best offensive player but no one here should question his leadership abilities given that we all know **** **** about what goes on on the bench or in the locker room. The guys absolute clunch in the playoffs too, in case you all forgot, given that you have such short term memory.

Yes. This is a rant. The complete ridiculousness of the majority of the Habs posters here is absolutely ridiculous.
