Hammer and Neil both got tossed with minutes left...so this means the Habs either finish first or second in the Conference...

How can that be, they were being compared to the best team in NHL history, the 76-77 Habs.

Excellent game who also included a terrific night concerning hockey.
Caps winning and getting inches closer to the postseason/division lead, and my Habs officially crowned 2007-2008 Northeast Division Champions.
First 100-pt season since 1992-1993.....and first division banner since 1991-1992!
What a
great time to be a Habs fan.Who have even thought it?
This convincing, determined win without a important player as our captain, and Komisarek.Kudos to Price,he's earned this shutout.
Everyone has contributed to this win,Bégin is our unsung hero for the night.

Wow... what a season... no matter what happens in the playoffs, so much positive to take from it.
Gorges, Kost bros. , O'Byrne, and of course, Price are all the real deal

I'd just like to get my homerism out of the way at the start of the thread.
Brisebois' last 2 GP
2 PTS, +3, 19:30 TOI
Brisebois' last 6 GP
3 PTS, +3.
He played well tonight. He can't compete physically too much, but still he did, slowing down attackers, doing some nice passes and blocking shots.
Dandenault was good too, during his limited minutes, same for Latendresse.
In short, the players brought in to replace the injured guys stepped up. They stepped up big time.
They didn't win a fluke game here. They outplayed Ottawa. The PK is starting to take shape just before the playoffs and that shape is one of dominance.
Nice job by the whole team (except SKost that could have done better, but he competed and worked hard).
Great game.
Edit: Forgot to talk about Price, but goddamnit, he didn't do a spectacular save until 3 seconds before the end. He was just there.
