We are? Colorado, perhaps, but Detroit finished a whopping 1 point above Buffalo in the standings, and outside of Zetterberg, who has maybe another year or two left in him, who exactly is part of Detroit's leadership anymore?

Then the Sabres in the year they tanked for McEichel. Yes. We are far better than those Sabres. The Avalanche last year? Yes, we are far better than last year's Avs.

That's what was said. Not that we are far ahead of the 2016-2017 Sabres, because Grigorenko didn't play on that team, did he?
