Premier league annual TV revenue between 2016-2019:
Domestic 2.6 Billion
International 1.4 Billion

The contracts work on a 3 season basis, one of the already agreed deals for the 2019-2022 period is an increase of $668m from the previous one from $32m to $700m in China
Plus, with football/soccer players you have to consider club revenue more than league revenue. Teams will be involved in more than just the EPL with Champions League/Europa League etc The Champions League revenues are going to enable them to really up the levels of the salaries.

Also compared to North American sports, I believe clubs have a bit more autonomy to negotiate things like shirt sponsorships that tend to be done on a league-wide basis in the NHL. In some leagues, TV rights may even be negotiated on a club by club basis.

So, if you do a comparison of salaries you have to make sure you're comparing the equivalent situations.

Like I said, they'll bring 91 to camp. That's their pre-camp roster. Nearly 40 of them will be cut and won't see a dime.
