This one is really close and picked Meloche due to his nastiness by the slimmest of margins. Would have chosen Bigras, but he has slipped due to his concussion. Timmins is also close, but being a late bloomer would like to see more of him. All of these players are interchangeable, which is very exciting!

For myself, I see JCB as a great 4C that is just fine stepping up to 3C. But if he is slotted in as the primary 3C, I do not think he will excel. Not bad or look out of place, mind you, but not a standout. JTC on the other hand I see as an amazing 3C that can not only step up to 2C, but make it clear that he could be there full time on almost any team. And along the same lines, I see Morrison as a middle 6 winger; great 3W, fair 2W....which to me slots him above JCB as a prospect...but I admit he has farther to go to get there (due to being a year and a half younger than JCB).

It all depends on how JCB's offense translates to pro. If it does, he's a 3C, if not, 4C/PK specialist. He seems to have the IQ to get something going in the AHL, but it's all speculation until we actually have a few months worth of games from him.

He can also play the wing, too. Compher becoming the long term 3C shouldn't relegate him to 4C automatically. As TV said, it's early to be plugging them both into an NHL lineup with so many unknowns.
