I meant at their best... Yes Mack was better last year.

However, Duchenes best is better than Macks. So far.

Not sure this has been posted yet.

Man he is a joy to watch. His Shot is already probably the best on our team. I think you can see the 30+ goal potential in his game for sure. Great shot, gets himself open and not afraid to use that shot either.

Also has fantastic vision as well. The sky really is the limit for him IMO. Probably my favorite Avs player now.

Do you mean Duchene's best season or Duchene at his best is better than Mack at his best. Because I would disagree if that's that case. Mackinnon at his best is better an more impactful than Duchene. Obviously this is just opinion. My only problem Mack is he hasn't figured out how to bring it more consistently.

@Pierce Rantanen and Mackinnnon'so chemistry really stands out in that video. I bet they have a big year next season, regardless of team record.

That Doughty strip to absolute snipe might be my favorite play all season

Yes but to D2M's point Mackinnon hasnt shown that hes better than Dutch yet. Is Mackinnon ahead of Duchene at the same age I would say yes but not by much. Mack suffers from the same debilitating junior hockey stuff that Duchene did. Duchene and his spinaroonies and Mackinnon going on missions 1 on 3 when things arent going his way.

Back to Mikko. Those highlights are pretty and all but they dont show all the other little things he does in all three zones. Thats the kinda thing that win you games. As much as I want to abandon ship and stop watching and buying avalanche things I cant because I really want to see how Mikko develops in this league. Sky is the limit for this guy and I really think he can reach his full potential alot easier than Mackinnon.

Watching that highlight video I realized how much of the season I had tuned out for lol. Only remembered like half of the highlights.

And Ryan's dad will then calm both down with a series of platitudes on Twitter.

Never EVER split up Mack and Mikko. Holy gawd at some of those MacKinnon feeds.

Agreed! I think they both would have produced more if they hadn't been split up for ~25 games. IMO those two will be able to clearly carry a line. The other winger just needs to compliment them, and Ghetto did well at the end of the year with that.

If the Avs bring in a big center somehow, and they put Jost on their wing, you're gonna see the best trio the Avs have had in a long time.

Even better; trade Duchene + Bigras for PLD + Murray + picks and convince Shvyryov to come over. boom.

Shvyryov - MacK - Rantanen
T. Jost - Dubois - Landeskog
Greer - Compher - Morrison
Nieto - J.C. Beaudin - Henry
Nantel

Deadly top line, elite two way 2nd line, b****in 3rd line, and an awesome 4C who has some quality bottom 6 wingers to work with.

Dont forget we'd still be picking Top 3-5 next year as well and with as good a chance as anybody for Dahlin.

Dahlin - EJ
Zadorov - Makar
Murray - Mironov

Barrie gets traded in a year or two for futures to keep the prospect pool nice and healthy while we enter cup contention mode.

DUchene's play leading up the Olympics was the best performance by an av since Stasnty rookie year.

That's certainly optimistic. Neither will happen.

Our Seguin/Benn doesn't mean as GOOD as Seguin/Benn.

It's the same analogy as Mack being our Crosby...Previous Duchene/ROR being Sakic/Foppa. If they aren't as good what's the point of the analogy? They become our best players well yeah, that already happened. Where did it get us?

Just means that if the two of them become a deadly duo together, then it doesn't matter which one is "better".

While this is true, and what I meant...it's also true that they'll be better than Seguin/Benn.
