This is my favorite quote from the 'wouldn't it be funny' thread.

maybe Nichol would scramble some SERIOUS eggs earlier on in the series as to where it required surgery on that neutered pot head Joe Thornton

Oiler fan here. You do realize that you beating the Hawks was part of the deal in us getting the Canuckleheads off your butts last night, right? We don't want the Hawks passing us in the standings so that blowhard in Anaheim who gets our 1st rounder doesn't get to pick any higher than possible. Thank you.We appreciate it and know you will do the right thing after you have had a chance to think about it.

A loss is for the best. I really want to see a Wings/Preds matchup...for better or worse.

We'd rather give you "love" in the 2nd round. Det. v. NSH is personal and is a battle for the soul of the Greater Nashville Area. The Sharks are just.....annoying. The perfect storm for the Preds would be:

7 game series with Detroit: The idea of Joe Louis South dies
5 Games series with the Sharks: 3rd time is the charm
Sweep of the Wild: Up yours Leipold. Too broke to run a hockey team, huh?
Stanley Cup with Philly: Nashville Predators vs. the Nashville Predators alumni team.

Philly won't happen. Boston would be interesting, which would be the team with the highest salary vs. the team with the lowest salary. A Justice game would be Nashville v. Pittsburgh. That could be called the Ballsillie Bowl.

Please lose... I'm tired of the Sharks playing you guys in the playoffs in the first round... It's like watching a playoff rerun. I want a new team to face in the playoffs!

You guys beat up Detroit, k, thnx, bye

edit: Already down 3-1! Good job!

My fellow Sharks fans seem to easily forget our 99-00 playoffs when we faced the same dilemma. Win vs. Vancouver in the final game and draw the 2 seed Stars who we wanted no part of, or Shank the game and draw the 1 seed Blues who we could beat.

Beat the Blues in 7, and then got trounced in 5 by the Stars in the WCSF.

Considering we all want Detroit gone, and your boys have the best chance to knock them out in the first round, I hope you guys get the 8 and slam them. Then we can meet up for a nice 2nd round showdown.

Such an odd game to watch... you want them to win, but you don't....

Just no one get hurt!

As for the first playoff game, I want everyone in a mustard t-shirt with plack letters on the front the simply say "I'm a Hockey Fan" and on the back and gigantic middle finger for all those who think Nashville doesn't have a fan base.

I have missed most of this game and I have been sitting in front of the TV almost the whole time.

Even us fans need a rest, eh?

Sarcasm? If so, explain as my post was a genuine offering of congratulations on avoiding the Sharks and hopefully winning against Detroit. Unless my sarcasm detector gave a false alarm...
