Flames fan coming in peace. Hope all of you are safe from the storm(s) and have a nice place to lay low. There's been some crazy weather so far all over Alberta this year.

Not sure why, but Drayton always seems to be in the eye of the storm and gets the crap pounded out of it every year. Must be in some weird trough.

maybe it's because The Head Crusher is there and that is God's way of crushing him for all the heads he's crushed.

God: "Head Crusher, I am crushing YOUR head!"

Thank you.

The storm ended up being just rain and some wind my area (southwest Edmonton).

Maybe it has to do with where its located off the mountains?

Blew through very fast. Strong winds and a very dark, low cloud cover for about 20 minutes. Some lightning and then it was gone. Strange.

Seems like a pretty similar case to what happened last time those alerts were flying around; got cloudy, rained for a bit. Meanwhile somebody else gets pounded. Edmonton proper is dodging some weather bullets so far.

Indeed, very surprised the weather wasn't worse yesterday.
