I just wanna beat these fools and start with the real thing already!

Laffs fans may be sad enough to want the moral victory, but I think unlike them their players will have some pride and come out with some fight tonight. Won't be enough though! Go Habs Go!

Maybe I was a little too vague there, so in an ongoing league-wide effort to be more clear, let just say that Ryder's earthly body is not in the ideal harmonic state with the cosmos as Guy or the rest of the team would prefer it to be. The goodnews to report for the Game Day Thread is that Ryder's spirit has aligned itself well with Venus indicating that he's entering a cycle of fairness and volunteerism, and will also find himself with an increased appetit for baked goods.
Thats all I have to report on Ryder. Want to know how Koivu and Komi are progressing with their injuries?

Someone should start a bandwagon thread for the playoffs.

This is supposed to be a deep draft according to TSN/Sportsnet, so where you pick doesn't really matter anyways.

Kovalev 2, Maples Leafs 1.

Tonight we put the final nail in the pathetic coffin that is the Maple Leafs season.

Next stop, Stanley.

Not to mention that you guys (Leafs) suck at drafting

Good point. Leaf fans put too much stock into draft position. Detroit never draft high and look at the players they've produced. Look at Sergei Kostitsyn, we got him in the 7th round.

Draft position = overrated
Smart drafting = underrated

Agreed. The leafs really need to work on their development with these young players. I mean, their is no sense in getting them if they're going be squandered in the AHL.

Honestly guys, I think at the draft this year, you will see the Leafs go into a full rebuild...they simply have to...so the big question will be where will Sundin sign on July 1st, because there is no way he is interested a total rebuild...TSN and Sportnet will be all over this, all summer, probably with Gino Reda going to Sweden on assignment, to interview Mats everytime he goes out to get the newspaper...

Finally the last pointless game against these loser teams.

Get through this one healthy and start thinking about the real season. I can't wait.

Actually the one thing I will be looking forward to in this game is hearing the Goodbye song even if we are losing 6-1 in the 3rd.

Pens play tomorrow, right?

A thrashing is definitely in order....we could then sail into the playoffs ridding on an extremely high note
