It may have stung but honestly he would have not right to be promoted. There is little reasoning for him to still be here let alone promoted to the Habs head coach.

I am not sure about your translation of it. Even in french the real meaning is not clear. The sentence start with an "if". Something like, "If Lefebvre took it hard, he prevented himself to make waves about it" So it's the journalist putting up the hypothesis that he may have taken it hard. Not Sly saying that he took it hard.

The patches on the arms are quite lazy though. They couldn't think of anything better?

2017-2018 Laval Rockets lines/roster predictions

any lineup that we might see at the beginning of the 2017-2018 whl season for the Rocket?
there will be rookies like Noah Juulsen, Simon Bourque, Jeremiah Addison, Martin Reway, Antoine Waked and Michael McNiven all fighting for roster spots so I'm just curious to see where you guys think they'll start the season.

Looks like a solid lineup. Hopefully the young kids learn from the veterans in terms of work ethic etc.

Can't disagree, great looking lineup, the best in a while. Still think DLR will be in Montreal to begin the season, though.

Hopefully Lefebvre got a brain transplant this summer and use the lineup accordingly...

Pretty good lineup but I think Morrow will stick with the team.

I think that McNiven should start in the ECHL not cause hes not good enough to make the AHL but he'd get more starts.
I also hope Simon Bourque gets a top 6 role. I don't know where he'll fit but I defenetly hope he gets a shot.
Also wouldn't be surprised if Addison is pushing for a bigger role towards the end of the season.

tough since they might not sign anyone from the development camp until the rookie camp. Got to think they add more bodies, then there's the injuries/health of Carr/Reway and then we need to see how makes the NHL roster. But if I had to guess,

Terry - Froese - Scherbak
Carr - Holland - McCarron
Reway - Audette - Addison
Broll - Eisenschmid - Waked/Grégoire

Taormina - Redmond
Morrow- Juulsen
Bourque/Leblanc - Lernout

Lindgren
Fucale

McNiven, Parisi, Petti, Ebbing in the ECHL.

What are the chances that Reway plays in Laval this season? Will he attend the main camp? Is he healthy enough to play?

Timmins recently said in an AMA video that they're hoping he can go off the meds by September so he can be at the rookie camp.

Is Froese that much better than Audette? Or Holland?
I mean, at the same age, he was barely in AHL and spent most of his time in ECHL.

He was not even a regular in AHL before he was 23 yearsold.
And at that time, the Leafs were not stacked like now.
ECHL material till 23 years old for a forward could probably be nothingburger.

Holland OTH did pretty well as soon as he came in AHL but he was traded for a 6th round in 2018... He was picked 15th OA.

Audette should be able to get top-6 duties. He will have to beat them but it is certainly possible that he plays second line.

I can't say for Holland who I haven't seen in the AHL in a couple seasons. I'm guessing he will do well in the AHL but Froese was very impressive when I saw him as he was easily one of the best players in the AHL, Audette couldn't hold a candle to him as he just wasn't very good. That said he just turned 21 2 months ago. I wouldn't compare them at same age since it only matters what Froese brings to Laval over the next 2 years. I expect Audette to improve but he's got a ways to go before he's a 1st line goal scoring threat that Froese is.

Audette needs to work on getting much stronger and improving his all round game. If he's in the top 6 next year for long periods then Laval is in trouble.

McNiven, Parisi, Petti, Ebbing in the ECHL.
This year Hudon and DLR are waiver eligible.
We are adding Addison, Reway, Waked, Bourque and Juulsen in the AHL.

Next year, Scherback, McCarron and Lernout are all waiver eligible.
So they need to be ready.
We add Bitten and Mete plus one or two FA.
Maybe Poehling or Ikonen come in AHL next year depending on their results but in both case, staying in their respective leagues would allow them to have almost similar level of competition as in the AHL.

All those players would be picked up.

Adding Hudon, DLR, McCarron, Scherback and Lernout in two years would be good.

Hudon and Scherback would have to play top-9 (replace Hemsky) and McCarron and DLR are bottom-6.
Plekanec, Mitchell, Hemsky, Martinsen and Redmond are all finishing their contract.

We only added Lehkonen this year but he was really good.

195lbs is really big for someone 5'8. He'll need to start doing some cardio. He should probably be at least 10lbs lighter.

He probably hasn't done much of anything. Sitting around doing nothing and higher scale numbers are one in the same usually I'm sure it will all level out eventually.
