HF just released the 10-25 portion of their Top 50 list and as expected Mac Pac is not there...very dissapointing as mentionned by my post in that thread..He didn't even get an Honorable Mention..that boggles my mind
That is a huge omission from the HF Top 50 List
He was the Rookie of the Year and had over a PPG average in arguably the toughest division in University Hockey (CCHA)
next year, smoke, brisebois, ryder and probably dandenault are all gone. who replaces them? chipchura, valentenko (or carle) and d'agostini.
the one hole is at center. i wouldn't be surprised to see the habs draft like 6 center-men this summer. the only other option is a trade for lecavalier or sign him as a UFA. if habs can't find their 'getzlaf' in the draft, then players like latendresse and maxpac are even more important because of their size and scoring ability.
example: i don't think pleks would be as effective if he didn't have two big wingers who were over 6 feet, 200 lbs.
grabs is in the wings but again, will need some big wingers to be effective
Thinking about it, can MacPac be in the top-ten? I don't think, but I'm not sure of who's graduated. MaxPac ahead of Bobby Ryan? I'm sure not. Forget it. It's a steal.
Hamilton really struggled this year, but they could be really good next year. I think 2-3 guys from ECHL most be there. Desharnais, Beauregard, Aubin and O. Latendresse will all get a chance to make the team. With all young guys comming from NCAA , europe and CHL, it must be funny to watch.
I can't wait to see him with the Habs next year, assuming he wants to turn pro. Not saying he'll play 82 games but I would expect him to see some games. Should be a lot of fun to see what he can do at the next level. Since Price and Kostitsyn have graduated, Pac is now our #1 prospect imo, so I hope to see him sign soon.
He's jumped McDonagh.... well thats really good, because i don't think McDonaugh has regressed at all, in fact i think he's progressing nicely.... Max Pac jumping him must mean his progression is even greater than I thought.
