Well Cherry and Maclean were all over the place.

Ron seemed to think this team could go places; Don, not so much.

Cherry gave props to Stewart, then dissed Kovy by saying he was only playing for contract. Had his requisite Tucker plug, talked about why Mtl PP was so good but used that to talk about Gilmour. Talked about how he wants Ottawa to do well, has bad feelings about Mtls chance but say he won't talk about the leafs again. Unfortunately McLean goads him into talking about Sundin.

All in all typical Cherry, he's alway been a Leaf homer and hated the habs... who cares.

As for the goat... poor baaastard

Cherry was looking good tonight with the gold suit, the white rose, white handkerchief and golden support the troops pin. (+all the bling) Stewart will probaly keep the tape when he talks about him.

And the Hot Stove was no better. No real talk about playoffs. But a lot about the off-season...coaches/GMs to be fired. (wonder why?) And, of course, the mention of Brian Burke coming to Toronto. MacLean is pretty much convinced of it.

The Hot Stove is the most boring monotone "hockey show" on this planet. Instead of watching it I'd sooner ponder my thoughts sitting in my favourite seat in the john. They never discuss anything of interest IMO.

Yeah the way Strachan interacts with Lebrun often makes me uncomfortable. It's like the production crew felt it might spark fireworks by sitting them next to each other but it doesn't work since they don't seem arsed enough to really try and light a fire. So it's just crap discussion and shrugs when one makes a counterpoint.

I'm glad I don't watch it anymore. Bring back JD.

From the left hand side choose Hockey Night in Canada, then Coaches Corner.

/edit - I suppose you're not asking about Coaches Corner after all. Root around in that link - I'm not sure if they include Cherry's post game yaks or the Hotstove.

Actually, there was more than one occasion where the play by play didn't seem to know player names.

Don Cherry basically said the Habs will tank and that Kovalev will take a year off again next year.

It is known that Cherry is very pissed and jealous that we have Carey Price, as the Canadiens may well get into the playoffs for THE NEXT CONSECUTIVE 10 YEARS.

I wonder if in the Russian Super League or any big hockey league over there, there are people thinking "Well this team cant win it all... they have a couple of Canadians in it!"
