He has missed the enitre season, hasnt had contact since October, Even if he comes back, he will not be atop his game.

I hope they don't rush the kid, and if they fall behind in the series panic and stick him in there. What a huge step it would be going from not playing all year, to a few weeks of practice, to playoff hockey! Could get seriously hurt.

Is he really a UFA? He'd be a perfect fit here...

Bah. Bergy won't be in game shape... he might be good for the first two games because of the adrenaline, but I don't think he'll be much of a factor.

Wait, with Bergy back, doesn't that make the Bruins more soft ????

It'll give them a huge boost, a bit like when Koivu came back from Cancer.

Awesome for Bergeron, not that awesome for us. But still, it won't make that much of a difference in the final outcome.

That's pretty stupid imo. There's no way he'll be usefull for the Bruins after having missed soo much time after such an injury. It's only dangerous for his health. Why not wait for next year?

No he's not! He's signed for 3 more years after this season... Honestly, I hope for him that he's OK mentally to play hockey. I remember hearing him say on the radio that he's seeing a psychiatrist in order to eliminate the fear of that ugly injury he suffered at the beginning of the year. Nonetheless, Bergeron could be the emotional boost for their fans and their team. He could be like what Saku Koivu was for us a couple of years ago. Wish him luck and hope for him that he's taking the good decision health wise...

You know, after setting up that "No trolling the Bruins board" and that both sides realize that we need to just keep our arguments to ourselves, I think I should right now say something that will cause Bruins fans to be in an uproar.

Lets hope Steve Begin says hi to Bergeron like he said hi to Savard

Oh, I'm a hypocritical ****

Maybe so, but he's still better at 80% than some others we have.

So that makes two players on the Bruins we have to shut down? Scary...

I think this was pretty much expected. He hasn't played hockey in 6 months and would (likely) be entering the playoffs in the middle of a series between one of the most rivalries in hockey, so I don't see him having much of an impact (rust factor). In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see him play in this series only to not be able to finish it.

He has 3 years left on his contract after this season and is only 22 years old. You can't be a UFA at 22.
