They can say Hi all the way... Do you really want to see Kovalev go to work on the PP? I don't think so.

Kovalev > Bruins.

Geez! That is scary! I hope we fold in 4 games to avoid the "Legion of Doom".

Somebody should tell Bergeron that Theodore isn't in net for the habs.

Sounds a lot like Saku Koivu in the 2002 series doesn't it. Boston was the 1st seed, Montreal was the 8th seed, Koivu comes back and gives his entire team an emtional boost.

I'm not saying history will repeat itself with now Boston getting the key player back and knocking out the top team but Boston definitely has a better chance of beating the Habs with Bergeron than without.

Chara won't have time to say hi to Kovalev as Kovalev will already be passed him and celebrating a goal.

I'm glad Bergeron's been cleared (for him anyway) but I have to say this smacks of a Philadelphia kind of move, rushing a guy back to the ice too fast and with too much risk to his long term health. The guy hasn't played pretty much all year and now he's going to play playoff hockey 1 wk after starting to practice? What if he takes a head shot?

Seriously I think players in this situation should rest and come back next season, for his own good. I know he's a fantastic player and could give the Bruins a huge boost, but this smacks of desperation.

I was moreso joking. I think Bergeron playing would be a great inspirational story for the Bruins... but it won't be enough.

We don't have Byron Dafoe in net.

80% is when a player plays with an injury. Bergeron's case is different, he won't have the same game synchronisation as the other players have. This is not Mario Lemieux we are talking about.

so true and they don't have a hart and vezina trophy winner stealing games. Bruins would have won that series if Dafoe was decent and Theodore was human.

Montreal is a far better team then Boston was in 02/04, for starters.

Not to mention in 02 we had Theodore providing some serious play for us, and 04 the Kovalev/Koivu/Zednik line put on a ****ing scoring clinic with clutch play to come back and win.

Kovalev & Koivu are as clutch as they come, I have yet to witness any such clutch play from a Bruins player.

Bruins can't score more than 2 goals per game...score 2 or 3 and you win...simple.

to clear up a misconception here Bergeron has been practicing for a few weeks now this he was cleared to check but not be checked about a week and a half ago and this was full clearance. the only reason they just gave him full clearance was because a week or so ago they said he just needed to put on a little more of the weight he had lost during his injury. if hes been cleared its because hes 100 percent in shape. hes been free of post concussion symptoms for some time now. there is no more or less risk of further injury now than there will be next year of the year after so once they feel hes back up to game speed he will play. I wouldn't be surprised if that is game three in boston.

You also forget we had the best goalie that season playing for us and he stole games 5 and 6 away from you guys. Tim Thomas hasn't really had success at all especially against the Habs

Does no one recall when Carolina brought back Erik Cole and he did pretty much nothing?

Bergeron has apparently lost like 25 pounds of muscle and looks frail from reports I've read. I'm not too worried.

The only way I see the Bruins having any chance is if Thomas steals it for them (ala Theodore). The Habs can and will create offensive chances against the Bruins. Pretty every line can score (yes even Smolinski's line is creating offense lately), so it's up to Thomas to stand on his head. IMO the only reason the Bruins are even in the playoffs is because of Thomas. They have one of the worst offenses in the league and have a team full of grinders. The reason they've had trouble against us is because of their lack of speed/skill and Thomas playing like a sieve.

Kovalev > Bruins.

Today, Kovalev is god.....

October, Kovalev is a stiff....

Go figure, the fans cannot make up there mind....

Like the B's fans, half think TT is GOD, the other half this he is hot and cold or think he is an overated stiff.....

Funny how we all change over time.

I know one thing, I want an exciting series...... As a B's fan, I want us to win, but as a hockey fan, it know it will be very tough..... Unlike some Hab's fans who give the B's no chance, the smarter older Hab's fan know anything can happen and DOES happen in the playoffs!

Hockey Rules!

It does lead to the question of how you play him though. The Habs have to treat him like anyone else, like the B's did Koivu a few years back, and no one wants to see anything get aggravated.

The only way Boston can win is if Thomas is hot because when he gets cold he is cold for a while.

I love the fact that Bruins fans come to Habs board and put their gabage in, but whenever a Habs fan open his mouth on the Bruins baord, he's told to GTFO.

Talk about insecurity.
