They might well build a statue in his honor (Kovalev).

Just read this on NHL.com, made me laugh. Would be nice though, I'm sure Kovy would love that...

""Kovalev has 84 points and a plus-9 rating in 100 career playoff games. He helped the Rangers snap their 54-year Stanley Cup drought in 1994 by recording 21 points in 23 playoff games. He has been to the playoffs eight times in his career, and only once was his team eliminated in the first round. If he can do it in Montreal, one of hockey's legendary cities, and bring the Stanley Cup back to the place where all Quebecois feel it rightfully belongs, they might well build a statue in his honor.""

A statue ?!? Screw that it's almost insulting

They should rename Le Pont Jacques Cartier to Le Pont Alex Kovalev instead .

Not accurate, not even close. I just spent 2 minutes on hockeydb and found out more than a dozen players with more than 1 PPG in the playoffs in more than 100 games

Yes, with one leg straddling each side of the Island... Like a billion feat tall.

I approve. It would cast a shadow over the entire city, of course, and you'd all be looking at his groin, but you'd look up and see a golden giant with a Stanley Cup.

...then God might smite for false idols, but whatever.
