Yeah I have to agree with you on this one, but usually people have to watch quite a few games before Bertuzzi actually decides to put in an effort. It's then you see the above average speed.

Mark Bell potential: 20-30 goals, 25-35 assists, and 100-150 PIMs per season.

Well, i havent seen enough of Bell to say if he'll be the next bertuzzi, but if u saw Bertuzzi early in career, i dont think anyone thought he'd be what he is now....

bertuzzi without markus naslund is an25- goal scorer like mark bell will become, you can't compare bell and bertuzzi stats because the hawks don't have any markus naslund !!!!!!

Totally ignorant comment. You could easily say Markus Naslund without Bertuzzi is a 25-30 goal scorer. I do think it funny that whenever any up an coming power forward is discussed (particularily those that have yet to reach their potential) that Bertuzzi is always the comparison. That should be evidence enough for the people that never watch Bert play that he is one of the top players in the game, and certainly one of the top five Power Forwards.

I can't believe someone here actually called Bert a slow skater. For his size he is an outstanding skater, with better balance and agility than 90% of the players in the league. His speed is above average. The same cannot be said for Bell.
