Alternatively, I can just delete the responses you put all this effort into.

Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention to the Seahawks-Packers game, but did the Packers play this really great game I'm not aware of? Seem some of the media outlets like ESPN and ProFootballTalk are implying their performance against the Seahawks confirms they are a "legitimate Super Bowl Contender."

That looked like a game between two very rusty teams to me.

Packers defense looked good.

I mean, they were always a Super Bowl contender and now they just beat another Super Bowl contender. So yes, it confirms they are a Super Bowl contender.

No question Watson should start.

Watson is practicing with 1st team

It appears to just be posturing on O'Brien's part to media

Texans would be throwing away any real chance of a playoff berth naming Savage their starter for the season. Watson may be flawed in a few areas still but kid is a gamer. I think they and the Browns just needs to ride out these rookie QB's and get them comfortable with those offences. It's a matter of time before they are good enough to lead.
It's a little different being Mahommes in KC there with Alex Smith trying to prove he's still at the top of his game. He may get a few reps and that's probably deserved, whereas the other two have shown they can lead their offence's and deserve to be starting over each team's other options.

BOB and Rick Smith are running out of 9 lives. That should be the real story.

This is the second year in a row the Texans are scrambling around switching QB's from the get go. I think Brock at least lasted a few games.

Smith may get a pass - who knows, but I gotta think BOB is on the hot seat.

There are alot of bad Olines right now. I am not as high on Seattle as most. I just dont know how you can run the ball, or do anything beyond medium range passes with that group, which allows the safeties to cheat up. I think they are very 1 dimensional.

Soooo many teams neglected it this offseason it doesnt make sense

You can spend on the OL via free agency, which costs money and cap space or you do so with draft picks, which is a lower cost during their rookie deals, but means that you have less young talent in other areas.

Seattle, has spent on draft picks.
RT - Ifedi is a 1st rounder in 2016
RG - Glowinski is a 4th rounder in 2015
C - Britt is a 2nd rounder in 2014
LG - Joekel is a former #2 pick that they got in free agency
LT - Obejambo (spelling) is a 3rd round pick in 2016

They drafted Pocic in round 2 in 2017 as well. So, there is draft capital in there.

At some point, it's either coaching or the scouting staff. It's not like it's one guy who is failing. They each took turns getting beat right off the snap.

Sorry, but I'm not really jumping on the hype wagon because of one game where it was probably more about Seattle's bad offense than Green Bay's defense.

Well sure, if you only base it on Week 1 and not every team's expectations prior to the season. Entering the season, Green Bay had the second best odds to win the Super Bowl, and they just beat the number four team. That's beside the fact that not a whole lot of teams looked "good", despite winning.

Green Bay is as much of a contender as anyone at this point.

So how long before John Mara grows a pair and fires Jerry Reese? That Giants offensive line is hot garbage. It was garbage last year before the season started and he did nothing, then it was garbage all last year and he still did nothing. Now it's even worse. He got offensive tools the team can't even use because Manning has no protection - football malpractice at its finest

Cable serves as both as far as the line is concerned, I've been very tired of watching what he puts on the field for a few years now. Just show him the door already. I agree that SEA has spent the picks and they should be better than this.

In a quarterback driven league they have arguably the best quarterback.

Frauds.

quarterbacks put up the worst combined Week 1 passer rating since 2012. And when it came to actually scoring through the air, they tallied the fewest touchdowns per game for an opening group since 2010.
