Are you predicting Duchene trade? Or Duchene holdout?

I'm predicting Duchene not playing for the Avs again.

I have no idea what Sakic is doing, but I do believe Duchene has played his last game as an Av.

Fair enough. Lindholm on the top pair is ambitious, but it seems like the coaches really love him. Kerfoot at C over Compher should be a crime.

If Lindholm could be a miniature Hejda next to EJ, that would be great.

Forwards 11-13 kill me every time I see where they're slotted because it's so sad

Lindholm is just a safe, reliable player. Every coach would love him. I predict he takes a big step forward this season.

That's how it was in the showcase, Kerfoot centering Compher. Someone has to play the wing and I think it will be Compher because it will get him into more defensive situations.

Does it make sense to develop Jost as a winger instead of a center or what's the deal there

Starting him off at wing as a rookie isn't the end of him at center. It depends on if Compher can lock up the 2C spot as well, that would pretty much force Jost to wing long term. If not, we can try him at C and see how that goes.

It was difficult to tell with the lack of sound, camera, angles, and ****** dirty scratched up glass lol, but it looked like they just had each one of them taking draws on their strong side.

I remember seeing Compher lineup at C more often personally, but again the feeds were really pissing me off.

Compher is a righty, and Kermit's foot is a lefty right?

Taking draws isn't the biggest part about being a center. Positioning in the zones is way more important and Kerfoot was playing center there.

Yeah Lindholm up there is a helluva prediction IMO. Agree on the lines, but as I posted above I think Compher/Kerfoot are interchangeable in the dot.

I do think there is some chance Compher stands out a bit more in full camp, or at least in the first month of the season and grabs the spot next to Landy.

I just don't think Jost will hold up physically against the competition Landeskog will play against. We'll see though.

Ahh, ok I wonder if that was part of the promise made to Kerfoot. Or is in part due to promises made. I just can't see it lasting.

I would like the Avs to have him, but I'd rather give him some more time to work on his offensive game so that someday he might be able to play with MacK n Mikko.

Serious question, what if he's just not that player? Going to the AHL isn't going to give him a skill level he doesn't have. He can get confidence and polish his game there but going into his second year it's only going to grow so far. There will be a point to just accept and use what he is.

If he's not that guy then he's not that guy. But for now I still think he could become that rich man's McGinn with more playmaking skills & agitation to his game. So I'd let him do what he can with Rocco until the first injury gives him a spot to take over.

IMO he has 20-25+g 30-35a upside and skill. He has a good shot and release and has better hands and playmaking ability than he even thinks he has. Developing that should be the priority. I know people want him up, but having him in a grinding role won't help him develop the mindset to slow his game down from time to time. Right now he is all energy all the time and he needs to learn to slow the game down with the puck on his stick. Of all the forward prospects not in the NHL or in Russia, he has the most offensive upside. The skill set is there for a very good NHL PF.

Yeah, I'll be pretty surprised if he actually shows up to camp as Friedman suggested he should do.

The Avs will suspend him and then go about their business while Duchene sits at home.
