Seriously, though, maybe it's time for him to retire. If the eye is banged up that bad, and with that gimpy knee, he should think of himself now. I'm not ragging on him. He's been one of the best players and best examples of a professional in this league...even if he is a Red Wing...

I couldn't agree more, with everything in this post. Yzerman has always been one of the very few players in that uniform that I could cheer for honestly.

Yzerman's got nothing left to prove to anyone. IMO, he should take the money while he still has his health, and make hay in any way he can off of what has been a phenomenal career. I'd hire him today as a coach, or as the Blues' GM.
