The Predators are lucky to still be in this one. Good teams take advantage of this and steal points. Lets see if the Predators can do that.

The Predators couldn't hold on to the puck even if it was taped to their sticks.

Arnott and Dumont are invisible. We can't keep the puck in the offensive zone, we are turning the puck over too much in the neutral zone, and are getting caught on odd man rushes in our defensive zone. Not to mention we're having trouble getting the puck out of the offensive zone, but then again that has plagued us all year.

Hopefully we don't sit back too much because we're going to get burned if we don't start picking it up.

It could be argued that Iginla single handedly won that game against the Sharks last night, you just didnt even see a flicker of that kind of heart from our leaders.

Someone get a video of the off sides goal.

I like how the ****** on hockey central keeps saying how the Preds still haven't won an away PO game. And of course they say nothing about how the goal shouldn't have counted.

Ugh.

Did the bad goal beat us? Or the fact that we had a combined 8 shots over the last 40 minutes? Including only 2 in the entire third period? Or the fact that we managed 1 shot on goal on 4 power plays?

Ellis played a great game, the others didn't. Nothing worked in the offensive zone. If it continues the way it is I don't have much hope for the Preds.

Exactly what I was thinking, I was trying to get mad over that goal but couldn't because the way we were playing we would have lost. Yeah I'd love to entertain the mind and think we might have stolen the game late or in OT. Horrible missed call don't get me wrong but Detroit did everything to win that game. I don't like that the linesman said it didn't touch him when in the video it shows that it did. Another thing I didn't like is we wasn't physical enough for a playoff game. I was really hoping that elbow hit on Peverley would ignite some hitting from the Preds. I was hoping Tootz would start throwing the body around later in the 3rd period. I think we can take some positives from this game. Ellis again was outstanding the D around the net was shaky but came though when Ellis made the inital save and there was a wide open net for the Wings to shoot at. Just didn't play like it was a playoff game and Detroit did.

Sure, score more goals is always a good thing. But to excuse the refs for allowing that is wrong.

If our TEAM plays better we win that game. If the refs don't blow it our goalie would have won that game. There is just no excuse these guys are supposed to be the best of the best.....get it right or lose your job.

Oh and by the way....score more effing goals.

I was more suprised that a penalty wasn't called on Zetterberg for taking out both of Weber's feet. Ironically, it was Zetterberg who was wide open and scored the goal.

Bad pass.
Bad non-icing call.
Bad non-call on a pretty obvious trip right in front of the official.

Ugh.

That said, I didn't feel we played well at all. Our pp looked.....beyond lost. It is almost comical to watch how we drop all 5 guys back on every powerplay, have 1 guy try to skate in 1 on 5, and then turnover the puck on the powerplay....dump, repeat, etc., etc., etc.

We may have not played well, but Detroit didn't either. We could have easily won this game. I'm surprised Trotz stuck with the same lines, despite those lines probably generating a total of 2 scoring chances in the final 30 minutes of the game (PP included).

Tied 1-1 going into the third in a road playoff game. Good teams eat that up. Total lack of effort by Arnott, Dumont, Erat, Radulov, etc.

Its a shame Bonk didn't pick up a point for that perfect pass to Franzen to setup Detroit's first goal.

The Predators better win on Saturday to take one out of Detroit. They had a great opportunity to steal an away game and take momentum in the series. Instead, they crap away their opportunity.

I agree, but we do have to get more shots on net.

I feel like Trotz has some crazy idea in his head that less shots = more goals

Detroit throws the puck at the net at an possible chance. We always look for the perfect play, which doesn't happen to often with the skill set we have this year

I hate to say it but they defiently looked liek the one seed and we looked every part of the 8th seed. We can play Detroit better than that. We HAVE to find some way to get some offensive pressure. Once somebody gets a little opening they should put it on net and the other two forwards should crash. I couldnt stand watching erat, rads, and bonk just cycle the puck and skate around until they turned it over. INFURUATING!!!!

Basically I'm just dissappointed. We know nothing but playoff dissappointment. How long does it take until we win a road playoff game? I wonder what they record is for most consecutive road playoff losses anyway? Well I guess I'll get my hopes up again only to have them crushed saturday but we shall see.

Its good to know that our PP still sucks and cant 1) get set up and 2) can't score on a hooker
