For the Canucks to trade the Sedins they'll likely be asking for at least Horton and Jokinen in return. I think if Florida is willing to do a deal based around that package then something could be done.

For example Vancouver has the 10th overall pick and if Florida is willing to let's say for example trade their 2nd round draft pick while receiving Vancouver's 10th overall draft pick then I'd pull the trigger from the Canucks point of view.

I think Nonis needs to be more aggressive this summer and clearly so does Martin. Both of their jobs are on the line and it's important that they get their team in the playoffs. At the same time it would be more then stupid for Nonis to ship out the twins for anything less then a good return.

Nonis won't make a deal just for the sake of making a deal.

Vancouver has a few real good assets they would consider trading. Heck I'd even consider adding Bieksa to the package if you would consider adding Van Ryan. IMO Bieksa is a better player then Van Ryan and would be an upgrade for your guys while for us Edler would be a player that could step up into a top 4 role.

Bourdon is another player that is available and he got a ton of potential.

Also I just wanted to clairfy that Louie never once said he wants to be reunited with Jokinen. In fact he never once said he wasn't happy with Jokinen.

It was a few people in the media who thought Luongo felt the media didn't handle his baby situation as best as they could and well let's face it the pressure in a mad hockey market city got to Louie.

Louie wants to win and he really doesn't care if George W. Bush himself is the leading scoring of his team as long as they are winning.

I really believe the peices are there for these two teams to make another blockbuster happen. However if the Florida organization is trying to get back at the Vancouver organization for the Luongo deal then I doubt we'll be able to work something out.

Here's a few names that could be on the trading block for you guys to consider:

Bourdon, Bieksa, Edler, Krajicek, Patrick White, Cory Schneider, 10th overall pick, 40th overall pick, Pyatt.

Remember some players have a higher value and Edler is one of them.

Some of you are real turncoats. Olli loves this team and it's fans and I guess the fans just don't appreciate him.

Sure he didn't have that great of a season, but who would playing with 3rd and 4th liners like Mclean, Peltonen, etc. on the first line.

If he loved the fans he would put forth a greater effort in all aspects of his game. He didn't come to play this year.

Even he admits this.

exactly. i mean, how do the fans (not that i like all or many of them, mind you) come out as the bad guys here? olli can talk until he's blue in the face but the fact remains, his effort and behavior (remember the whole episode with horton) were both less than exemplary.

Agreed.

Although if Vancouver offered the Sedin's straight up, how can you not bite on that? If the right offer comes along that makes the Panthers better now and in the future, then by all means trade him. But just because he had a down season doesn't mean he should be tossed aside like he's never done anything for this franchise.

I would take that as our two top lines.
Rolston? Why would he sign with the Panthers when A LOT of teams will be interested in him this summer?

I think that the Nucks would jump on a deal sending the Sedin twins to Florida for Jokinen and Horton. They would have to add something IMO since Jokinen brings more to the game than Henrik and that Horton has a huge potential.

I came with this idea on the main board:

To FLA: Heatley, Vermette and Meszaros

To OTT: Horton, Jokinen and pick

Would you be interested?

The two teams need a major change and it could be a win-win type of deal.

From Vancouver perspective, I hope it happens:

Jokinen-Hossa(assuming he signs with Canucks)>>>>>>>Sedin-Sedin

Not if the Sedins are traded. They'd be losing their cap hit, Naslund's, and Linden's. Isn't that over 10 million?

No way Hortn gets traded this off-season. This team finally has a line, one tht gels and knows each other with Horton-Weiss-Booth. They haven't had that for forever....for-ev-er. It wouldn't make sense to move him out, especially not for the Sedins.

I love Heatley, though, so I'd love to see him here. Don't see it happening, he's playing too well with Spezza.

I think given the fact that a new coach will be here next season, I'd rather stick with Olli than move him.

I'm confident he'll shake off the post-Zednik-injury jitters and find inspiration with a new leader behind the bench.

He WAS playing too well with Spezza. Now, they are invisible and the Sens will need a major change if they want to be back on track.
