GDT Preds @ Wings - 1pm CST (Eventual Road win Edition)

@

Well trying to be upbeat, my confidence is shaky knowing we won't have Nichol... Maybe Legwand comes back, that would be big, but even if he does he hasn't played in a long time. The options are Milwaukee callups or Hordichuk or maybe dressing the seven d-men....

We have to generate offense someway, somehow.

Anyways eventually we have to win a road game? If we split we will be in great shape coming back to the Sommet center.

Let's Go Preds!!

Shouldn't we call this the Fairway Edition, Part ___. That seemed to be working well for us? I think the Preds get some offense today.... perhaps the start of JP's vaunted playoff play.

Honestly, I'll take the over. The lineup will either feature a return of Legwand or Ville Koistinen playing as the 7th defenseman and a PP specialist. Either way, I think it will help our PP skate the puck in a bit and set up easier. Therefore, I pick the over.

Of note, the Tennessean is reporting this morning that if Legwand is unable to go today, that the Preds might recall either Josh Langfeld or Antti Pihlstrom from Milwaukee to fill in...that is if they don't choose to insert Hordichuk (big mistake) or play 7 defensemen (what I think will happen if Leggy can't go).

I'm going to take the over as well. IF we can't get 3 pp shots tonight, I just don't see us winning or even having a chance of winning....

We need to see some adjustments made, which Trotz has not been capable of doing in past playoff runs, I dont know if he can do it.

That looked like the puck was in before the net came off.

Dammit, 1-0 Detroit.

C'mon Preds.

I agree; the puck was, clearly, over the line before the net even moved. I'm shocked that that wasn't reviewed. There was a goal a few days ago (I think that it was a Pens goal) that was counted even though the net was lifted an inch off of the ice when the puck crossed the line. Compared to that, today's was a goal, no question, whatsoever. It's too bad (especially for the Preds) that what counts with one set of officials isn't necessarily what counts with all.

There is absolutely no excuse for the officials to not at least review the goal on video. That reeks of favoritism for NBC's poster child team. I'm absolutely sick of the second-class treatment that we are receiving from the zebras.

It did look like it crossed the line before the net was dislodged. My wife thought the whistle was blown before the puck crossed (which she may be right....). Inexcusable that it was not reviewed, and that there wasn't a penalty on Stuart? to begin with.

Great 1st period. Our team has to played pissed off to win this series. Already about 90% of the scoring chances we had in game 1 we have already had in game 2.

that intensity for another 40 minutes should get us excellent results.

Tootoo needs to be smart, this team can be had by him today.

Better play by the Predators. Keep up the scoring chances and the goals will come. Erat played much better, although he missed a perfect chance to send in Radulov earlier in the period when he help up the puck.

Dumont looks drunk out there.

Tootoo has to be careful, no doubt they'll be watching him with a microscope now.

Our PP has got to be better.

Ellis needs to get it together; he looks shaky. He needs to play like the net is his home.

Not if they don't stop shooting directly into Hasek's chest. I've seen one or two nice saves from the Dominator; the rest were great positioning by him and the Preds doing him favors by shooting squarely at him. This isn't the magnificent, flopping Hasek that we remember; he's hardly had to move side-to-side at all. The Preds need to stop being so intimidated by him and put some more creativity and placement into their scoring chances. Just shooting directly at him and hoping that some squeeze through simply isn't going to beat him.
