Well 1 game isn't enough of an indication that he won't make rookie mistakes in the playoffs. Chipchura has seen a lot of NHL action, and is a very smart player to begin with. He's also won a couple of championships.
Exactly, Stewart's managed to put himself in the running for a roster slot, but that doesn't mean he's leapfrogged Chips. As a bottom-six defensive player Chips right now is head and shoulders the prospect closest to sticking with the habs.
But darn it, Carbo's surprised us before, so I can't rule the idea that Stewart might get into a game before Chips does. Don't really expect to see either of them.
I think habfans are so use to loss and disappointment's, that we are incapable of enjoying success. We deserve this success guys, be happy with it, stop thinking of all the changes we can make. Chips gonna be a great player for us for years to come, but this year we are set, we win and lose with the players that are playing right now. Suggestions of brining up all these players from the minors is nonsense, and is a mute point right now. We have the players we need up, plus players waiting in the press box.. Lets enjoy this great season guys!!! GO HABS GO!!!!!
He wouldn't affect the chemistry at all. He's not that type of guy and if they thought individual players could affect chemistry then Grabovski would be in Hamilton. Secondly he is not too slow and of he was a winger then I would have him in the lineup over Dandenault and maybe even Latendresse. He played great for us this year and even if he doesn't play I think he should be called up.
Chipchura will be called up soon.. Let him play 2-3 other games with the Bulldogs and call him up if he looks sharp.. Im still not sold on Smolinski and having Chipchura around for the second round will be fine..
It is better for chipchoo to be where he is right now. HE PLAYS!!! We will see him later, when the dogs' season is over. He still plays against men in a pretty good league so why do you want him here sitting in the pressbox???
