Players say that all the time when a team is still winning (or they're under contract), once the music stops, who knows.

Simon hasn't been a heavywieght for years, Iginla has bigger balls than he does.

There was no whistle on the play. NO WHISTLE!

By missing game 1 vs San Jose is he trying to draw a suspension then?

Actually, both Oliwa and Simon had great come back years, it seems Simon has finally gotten over his injuries. I don't know what happened to Oliwa, but he is far from the suck he was lately.

I'm sure that there will still be complaining since the 3 games are for the regular season and not the playoffs. Believe me, Wings fans would love if we were in a situation right now where the 3 games were for the playoffs.
I don't see how 3 games months from now will affect Hatcher esp. since the 3 games might not be until well over a year from now. But, in the long run he is being suspended and the number of games is what the NHL decided on. So stop complaining about the Red Wings. Moan about Hatcher and/or the NHL front office.

ESPN News has reported that Hatcher will be suspended the first three games of the season next year. It is also on the bottom line on ESPN... Good, Hatcher deserves more but he got three games...

I also think that he should have gotten more; but too many were complaining that the NHL would give him nothing.
