In your opinion, so far, who'S the best Habs player in this series?
My vote goes to Roman Hamrlik. Seriously, what a stud back there. +2 again last night and he even contributes physically and offensively. Our playoffs MVP so far...
HM to Price, Bégin, Kostopoulos, Smolinski, and Sergei Kostitsyn.
Watching his body language though, and some of his stutter-steps here and there, I'm wondering if he's starting to wear down a bit. Gotta finish this series in 4, get some more rest.
The players above haven't played to their potential. we're still up 2-0 though, they'll have their opportunity.
Look forward to Koivu's return, I really think he can spark something
My vote goes to Hammer, never has a bad shift, so solid
I dont think Kovy needs to pick up his game. The reason that hes not that effective is because the Bruins gameplan is to watch Kovalev firmly. Plekanec and A. Kost should help him a little bit more.
I think Ryder and SKost have been very good. Komi is slow and ineffective, but I'm pretty sure he's not at full health.
that's Kost sr (senior) I had down young squire
and I still think Ryder can play better, he looked really good going into the playoffs, I still don't think he's playing to his full potential

it's hard to make a clear assessment on Kovy. Last game they weren't on him as hard, and he was quite average this game. Although he did play better this game, I don't know, it's just not the playoff Kovy I'm used to. I know he can take it up another notch....I'll make a new list
players who are playing quite well, but who can certainly take things up another notch:

Agree, it's obvious the Bruins are keying on Kovy, it's up to Pleks and AKost to take the load off him on that line. If they start producing it will only open things up for Kovy. Don't forget about that beauty pass Kovy made to Kost for that breakaway attempt (Kost trying unsuccessfully for the 5 hole).
Glad we dished out big bucks for da hammer. I still have a hard time believing that he used to be an offensive defenceman constantly in the minuses. Must be an impostor

Well when he was a big offensive threat he was also a Brisebois in his own end. I'd take his steadiness and efficient transition game he's got now over his roaming offensive style to go with a nice -30.
Kovy, SKost, Price, and (surprisingly) Kosto get honourable mentions
I would take Kovy off that list. He's been alright, but missing open nets, and losing the puck alot more than normal. I can't wait to see him get it going again. Once he took that penalty, I told my roommates he'd score the winning goal. You don't want to piss this guy off, and I expect more from him next game.
Hammer Price S Kost Kosto easy.
Begin too, wow he's laid 2 awesome open ice hits in the two games.
